BUZZ! Master Quiz

Playstation Illustrated
13 February 2009
  • Excerpt: Saying "quiz game" to a person doesn't automatically elicit a strong visual response. Maybe a host's face, or a lovely lady that turns over letters on the far side of the stage? The modern game shows are often like elaborate set pieces, as in the case of American Gladiator , but the quiz show is a bit more elusive. Buzz! Master Quiz has a host, but he isn't the most telegenic you've encountered.

Expert Review

PSX Extreme
1 November 2008
  • Excerpt: Sony's line-up of party games is no doubt stellar. Featuring the likes of SingStar and Buzz!, both titles have been keeping gamers busy in their living rooms for extended periods of time. But let's take the experience away from the couch, and onto the road, as Sony's Buzz! Master Quiz for the PSP marks the series' first entry for Sony's handheld.

Pocket-Sized Buzzing

TotalPlayStation.com
26 October 2008
  • Conclusion: Buzz! Master Quiz is a modest, safe approximation of the console games. It's neither as good nor as varied as them, but the multiplayer options can be entertaining. Just don't use it as a replacement for the console games and you'll be fine.

Buzz! Master Quiz

Digital Chumps
4 October 2008
  • Conclusion: Buzz on PSP is like ordering your favorite pizza and finding out they mistakenly laced it with anchovies. Is it still edible? Sure, you might like it, but wouldn't you rather have what you're used to? I can certainly see scenarios (car pools or hotel rooms) where passing around a PSP or hosting a game might be contextually appropriate, but a portable offering of a party game is hardly necessary otherwise.

Buzz! Master Quiz

Project COE
23 September 2008
  • Conclusion: Outside of the gameplay, there’s not much else to talk about. Like the PS2 titles, Buzz! isn't a visual showstopper. It’s a text-based quiz title after all. The colors are bright and vibrant, the text is easy to read, but beyond that what else can be said? Buzz himself animates well, but is fairly basic. The audio is what you’d expect from any quiz game, meaning it’s fairly standard.
