Brothers in Arms: D-Day

Brothers in Arms: D-Day is a tactical first-person shooter video game that is available for the Sony Playstation Portable (PSP). It was developed by the Texas-based Gearbox Software, LLC. and was published by Ubisoft. It was released in North America on December 5, 2006. The game makes use of the Unreal Engine technology which was developed by Epic Games.

The game is set at the time of the Invasion of Normandy where Sgt. Matthew Baker and Cpl. Joe Hartstock go through actual missions that took place during June 1944. Much like with other games in the series such as Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 and Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood, players of Brothers in Arms: D-Day control a squad. This squad takes orders from the players who decide on the smartest way to suppress and assault the enemy.

Brothers in Arms: D-Day gives its players the chance to make use of a wide range of authentic World War II weapons from both the Germans and the Americans. Among the most popular weapons in the game is the German FG42. Players also have the chance to lead a bazooka team as well as fire mortar rounds. Apart from this, players can order their squad on an MG42.

The game can also be played by multiple players through an ad hoc connection. Players of the multiplayer mode have access to 12 different Skirmish missions in four different game modes.
