Summary: This game has got quite good graphics, but the gameplay is crap!. Please dont get this game and waste your money. it is so repetitive that once youve had 3 overs you feel bored. the loading times are about 5 minutes and it literally means that you have to put it down and wait. and no matter how high you put the difficulty setting the opposition will never get better than 100 runs unless you have just started playing. Please dont waste your money, this is a rubbish game!
Conclusion: I was looking forward to a portable cricket game, i love all sports games and had high hopes. The cricket is fun to play but there is no depth to the game at all. Only contains the World Cup and the teams in it. Once you have won that the only option is to replay it as someone else. No test matches, no ashes, no county teams. If you compare the options in fifa 08 or NHL 07 or World Tennis tour. This is seriously lacking long term appeal.
Conclusion: Having waited so long for a PSP format cricket game I was disappointed by this offering. Unlike other sports games this one does not chellenge you on enough levels. Clever minigames and intelligent progress through the game is missing throughout leaving you feeling frustrated and needlessly bored. The game could have been so much more with side games that not only challenged but also interested you. I am a huge cricket fan and this game left me cold.
Conclusion: Good game for about a week then when you have one the world cup with different teams on different skill levels it would be great to play a test series (which u could even do on the Sega Megadrive version!!). It should laso include the options to play a county season and they should make it harder as it is too easy after a few plays...!
Summary: I don't know how codemasters have done it but they have removed the few good bits away from the overated game on the 360 and only improved a couple of things. Every time u hit the ball along the ground it goes straight to a fielder and is completely unrealistic and very annoying. Also the same old rubbish is here boring bowling, unrealistic edges and and basically just another poor cricket game...
Summary: .....Not to sure about this. I was really looking forward to having cricket available on my PSP. and to be honest i feel let down. the game just feels unfinished, pure and simple it just lacks polish. you can bet if this was an EA sports game it would reek class. but for some reason they have just concentrated on making a game that was based on the last cricket world cup.and thats it, wow must have been a slow day at the office for ideas being pitched that day .
