Brian Lara 2007 Pressure Play Review
5 October 2007
Excerpt: Ricky Ponting 2007 Pressure Play (otherwise known as Brian Lara Pressure Play for gamers in the UK) is the first appearance of Codemasters' long-running cricket series on the PSP, although the UK-based company has handed over development reins on this game to Australian development house IR Gurus.
Pros: Easy controls and arcade-style gameplay, Good player animations
Cons: Extreme lack of gameplay modes means no longevity, Occasionally shocking frame rate during fielding, Long and frequent load times, No commentary
Excerpt: In the summer of 2005 Brian Lara made a triumphant return to video games, with Codemasters' game being addictive and highly enjoyable. It wasn't perfect, but it was the best option cricket fans had. After the entertaining but slightly disappointing 2007 edition on 360, PS2 and PC, the PSP gets its own take on the sport you either love or hate.
