Review from a emcee/producer (with real equipment & PS2 & PSP).
22 December 2012
Summary: I have just bought this "game" yesterday (not even 24hrs ago). I have been a emcee for many years. And started making beats in 2001. Using both real equipment (MPC1000,EMU SP1200,Alesis AR16,ect...) and even PS2's MTV's Music Generator2. Now I have been messing around with Beaterator. Though I have more to learn with this "game", I must say it's a amazingly innovative idea! The possibility to create/produce music with not only a gaming device.
Summary: I got this game within a week. Been playing off and on when I can. I recommend you watch ALL the help videos. Its a fun little peice of software. The songs kind of make themselves. It has a lot of options/sounds/samples. I haven't tried it, but you can record sounds and integrate into the music. I'm not a big fan of RnB or Rap, but this is fun! I mostly got it to make drum beats. I haven't learned how to do odd time signatures yet. Everything's in 4/4.
Summary: Beaterator is quite enjoyable! A few years ago, I used Magix Music Maker 11 on my laptop to mix my [semi] awesome jams. Then a crashed motherboard and an upgrade to windows7 took my MMM11 away from me. Then I found Beaterator. It is quite a deep game... no, no, no - my bad - IT IS NOT A GAME, IT IS A PROGRAM! The music samples and tracks are almost never-ending, the tools are user friendly and intuitive.
Summary: This game looks like sooo much fun. i love making beats and stuff so i'm gonna definitely try to get this game. Like the last game that i tried for the psp really stunk like u barely could make a beat, which misses like the whole point of the game. I mean just the name makes it soung like an awesome game.BEATERATOR sounds so cool. but anyways, all of the other games that I've tried look NOTHING like this.
Summary: well this game is very addicting. I have played it not long, but so far it is kind of addicting once you get the hang of it. I disliked the part where it is very confusing at the beginning but it just keeps getting better and better. This game has its potential, though. I think this is a game that someone can always come back to and play without getting bored. The very good part about this game is that it is in a playstation portable, PSP.
Summary: Only buy this game if you love music and want to create or love to produce music. Its that simple...So i hope anyone with a musical dream would understand this game. Its the best idea for anyone who must make music on the go. Or even if you never made music. I really understand some people will try to say this game sucks, but your not buying a game people, its really a music studio on the go. the smallest studio in the world...
