  • Excerpt: Bakugan Defenders of the Core is part role playing game, and part stealth game. Players have the role portion of setting up their team, and then they have avoid detection levels. The final area of Bakugan Defenders of the Core is to fight Bakugan. These towering monsters are huge, and the people all run when they are brought out. Bakugan: Defenders of the Core

Playstation Illustrated

  • Excerpt: If we sound a bit impressed with Bakugan: Defenders of the Core , it's probably because the bar for games based on toys is pretty darned low. Yes, Bakugan: Defenders of the Core is cashing in on a hugely trendy toy franchise, but that didn't prevent the developers at Now Productions from aiming high. At no point in the game did we get the impression that it was just service to fanboys who will buy anything with the Bakugan brand name.

Bakugan: Defenders of the Core game review

Boys' Life magazine
1 December 2010
  • Excerpt: The first thing you need to know about Bakugan: Defenders of the Core is that these guys are humongous, sometimes as tall as skyscrapers. And when they get to brawling, all bets are off. Godzilla has nothing on Bakugan. Bakugan has always been a fascinating strategy game. The cards fire your imagination and with a toy, you play them as if you were one of the big beasts yourself. Last year’s video game was like the card game, even though it had a lot of variations.

  • Conclusion: Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Defenders of the Core is rated E-10 for Everyone 10 and up with an ESRB descriptor of Fantasy Violence. Even though you trade blows and projectile attacks with other monsters, it’s no more violent than the cartoon show it’s based on. Reading skill is helpful, but most of the game has spoken voice. Younger gamers might find the challenge level a bit too steep in the one-on-one battles later in the game, though.

  • Excerpt: Újabb anime-feldolgozás érkezett, amely ezúttal a fiatalabb korosztály számára lett pozícionálva. A Bakugan Defenders of the Core vegyíti a szörnyes-bunyós stílust némi lopakodással, abszolút kölyökbarát kivitelben. Hogy teljesít a többi hasonló címmel szemben? Teszt!
