B-Boy Review

18 August 2008
  • Conclusion: All that aside, B-Boy is a respectable entry in the rhythm-action cannon, thanks to its refreshing degree of depth and a couple of unique gameplay twists. However, although certainly enjoyable, there's a bit of a caveat here as far as a recommendation goes. As we mentioned earlier, how much you take to the game is likely to come down to your personal interest in the world of B-Boys and its surrounding culture.

9 December 2007
  • Conclusion: I’m sure it will strike a certain chord with “real” B-Boys and Girls out there, but from a gamers perspective it lacks any real substance, or reasons to come back and play again and again.
  • Pros: Artwork, Style, Soundtrack, Character animations
  • Cons: Repetitititititititive gameplay, Pressing ‘x’ to the beat, No depth

B-Boy (PSP)

9 December 2007
  • Conclusion: To be honest although the gameplay in B-Boy is pretty shallow and unoriginal that’s what most people look for in a quick play arcade game, which is essentially what the PSP is for. The conversion doesn’t seem at all different from the PS2 version; there’s nothing extra to keep things interesting, only small issues that make the game a little harder to recommend.
  • Pros: Cool Soundtrack, Stylish, Makes you look ‘down with the kids’
  • Cons: Gameplay gets stale fast, Not enough moves available at the start, No reason to keep playing

B-Boy - PSP

29 October 2006
  • Summary: B-Boy is a decent game. There are no major flaws, but it’s not amazing either. I’ve already said it several times, but the game really suffers because of those load times.

5 May 2008

Expert Review

18 March 2008
