Armored Core: Last Raven Portable Review

11 June 2010
  • Excerpt: Everyone likes a good giant robot battle now and then. Big weapons, big explosions, and tiny people scattering from the chaos all make for easy entertainment, and with a video game franchise like Armored Core, insanely deep customization options add a lot of intrigue to the mix. But Armored Core: Last Raven Portable, an almost direct port of the PlayStation 2 game, stumbles much in the way its progenitor did.
  • Pros: A cavalcade of robot parts to buy and install
  • Cons: Frustrating controls, no matter how you customize them, Bland presentation, Unforgiving artificial intelligence

Review: Armored Core: Last Raven Portable (Sony PSP)

Diehard GameFAN
25 July 2009
  • Summary: : Armored Core: Last Raven Portable is an inferior port of a good game that is unlikely to please most players, as it’s not as good as the game it’s ported from, not as accessible as the newer games in the series, and in general not an especially friendly product. The story is still good, the graphics still look nice, and the audio is still solid all around.
