Alien Syndrome

Alien Syndrome is an action role-playing game (RPG) that was developed by Totally Games and published by Sega. This game was marketed as the update to the original Alien Syndrome by Sega. It was released both for the Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) and the Nintendo Wii on July 24, 2007.

The Alien Syndrome action role-playing game takes place around 20 year later than the original game. In a world where interplanetary travel is possible, players take on the role of Earth Command Trooper Aileen Harding who is sent to a space station located on a distant planet after communication was lost. Once Harding gets there, she finds herself battling against enemies on infested spaceships and alien planets. She must then fight for her life while she fulfills a mission to take down an alien menace responsible for the “Alien Syndrome.”

Available to players of Alien Syndrome are 20 different weapons while they fight against 100 different alien enemies, 5 bosses, and 15 mini-bosses. There are also a number of different armor types and bonus items for players to choose from. Players can also customize their characters to expand in-game strategy options.

In all, there are 40 different levels that players have to complete to succeed in the game. Throughout the entire game, players are accompanied by a droid that serves as a storage space for the character’s items.

The PSP version of Alien Syndrome offers a co-op multiplayer mode that can be used via an ad-hoc Wi-Fi connection.
