The game, which makes use of the Vicious Engine, is set a short time before the Battle of Thermopylae. Player take on the role of King Leonidas, the king of Sparta. See lessWhen it comes to videogames based on films, many gamers realize that the transition between the two isn’t usually as successful as one might hope. While there have been some good movie-based games out there, generally the move is a little bumpy. One of the latest film-based videogames is 300: March to Glory , from Warner Bros, which is based on the film, 300 . So is the transition from film to game a successful one for this visually stunning film? Or will 300: March to... Read more
It’s interesting that they called this 300, because that is about how many times you jam on the X button in the first minute and a half. Then again, there is something mindlessly appealing about beating up endless waves of dudes. You can upgrade Leonidas by buying new weapons, armor, and combos, but I didn’t really find it necessary to buy combos. And the few puzzles consist solely of pushing over walls or boulders by tapping more X. You can find worse games, but the... Read more
The highly anticipated movie adaptation of Frank Miller's 300 is coming to theaters this weekend. Already film critics are glowing about the movie's bewitching visual style and unrelenting action. But what about the video game, which was released just one week before the epic is unleashed into theatres? Read more
This is a difficult review to start. I prefer to start reviews on a good note. Hmm… it’s got the guy that narrated the movie narrating the “game”. There, now that the good is out of the way let us begin the rest. As you probably already know 300: March to Glory is based on a movie, based on a graphic novel, based on true historical events. Three of these things are worth experiencing. Care to guess which one is not? Read more
In 300: March to Glory, based on Warner Bros. Pictures' motion picture, players take on the role of King Leonidas, who leads the brave 300 Spartans against Xerxes and his massive Persian army in a battle to determine the very fate of western civilization. Read more
Fun: 300: March to Glory is my second "M" game for the PSP and I have to say that it is better than the first (the first being Silent Hill). The only reason I say that 300: March to Glory is better is that Silent Hill was too scary for me, and I had to sell it, so this is now my only "M" game. Anyway, I don't know why 1/4 of the reviews are 2 stars. This game deserves 5 stars! The graphics are amazing for a PSP game (blood, gore, Persians, Spartans, levels, weapons etc.)... Read more
300: March to Glory has so much potential to be a smashing action game with spectacular graphics for a rewarding gaming experience. Instead, it feels like a rushed job, unable to live up to its promise. In the end, the game is nothing more than an average hack-and-slash game. Read more
March 8, 2007 - First off, I'm going to say I'm a Security Guard. I watch a gas station to make sure it doesn't get broken into. You can guess how often I play the PSP, right? I have over twenty-five games, ranging from lame to great. 300: March to Glory is one of the great ones. Samurai Warriors is NOT. You begin the game with weak Armor and a Sword / Shield. As you progress, you gain experience points from killing enemies. This allows you to increase the quality of... Read more
