Summary: First I must make a note for WINDOWS8 users. If you are connecting a WINDOWS 8 computer to this projector and if windows does not detect it as a display: follow these steps to get it to work flawlessly and quickly. First, the down side....you must have a video card with a DISPLAYPORT. If you are running windows 8 and do not have displayport, you need to purchase a card that is equipped with one.
Summary: Decent projector, if you just want a clean picture and have a dark room, this would suffice. However..3D is unwatchable on this. I am a huge 3D fan. I have a 2012 60 inch Samsung LED 3D TV.. I know what 3D should be.. and this isnt even close... If the motion is anything faster than watching fish swim off the screen towards you then its a complete blur. You get what you pay for. If you can't afford a better projector..
Summary: So far the brightness and resolution have been a great step up from our older projector. Used it for reviewing spreadsheets and viewing iPad output and worked really well for both, even by a sunlit window. Form factor a touch on the large side for airline travel, but not too bad.
Summary: I purchased this projector for use with my PS3 for 3D gaming. It is the only projector that I could find for a reasonable price that could directly support the PS3 3D format without the need for a converter box. After having it for a few weeks, I must say that I am very pleased with it. I have played two 3D games on it thus far (Uncharted 3 and Resistance 3) and have been awed by the 3D from the start.
Summary: Personal Experience Hi, 3d adaptor mainly viewsonic vp3d1 still gives you only 3d in 720p and gives you non 3d in 1080p.other problem there is no component input which most of projectores have it.I enjoyed a lot with 3d featers.I recommend to spend a few more dollars to get a better brand.
Summary: I bought this for 3D Movie. I think it's the cheapest way to get perfect and brilliant 3D movie at home. With bluray 3D Player, DLP-Link glasses and hdmi cable you have all you need. And the 2D to 3D conversion mode works, too. We are very very happy !!! My first 3D - BD was: Jean-Michel Cousteau's Film Trilogy Dolphins & Whales/Sharks/Ocean Wonderland beautiful !!!
Summary: Pros Crisp, clear picture with both VGA and HDMI inputs Great price small lightweight Cons Source switching buttons didn't work on device, only on remote Gets really, really hot Hot plastic smells bad Bottom Line If you need a projector and want to minimize your cost, this is a great option. If you can afford to be a little pickier, I'd look elsewhere.
Summary: Easy to set up, amazing picture, portable and inexpensive for the quality. I created a home theater and this just fit right in making the experience mind blowing. For the price you can't beat the quality and 3D feature... Also 3D works with out getting a converter.
Summary: Cannot beat this projector for the price point- 3d works great and has great color. Easy to work and hang for movie night. Find comfortable active 3d glasses that will sync with the projector and you have a great home theater at an affordable price.
