Summary: Purchased this December 2011 and last night (6/29/13) it just died on me. Temperature of the house was around 86 degrees (it's considered "hot" around here) and the projector has been on for at least 4+ hours nonstop (i.e. it gets very hot with the 3200 lumens on it). Everything seemed just fine when I heard a very loud pop/crackle/snap sound from the projector, the screen went dark, and the projector emits a foreboding red glow from within (I kid you not).
Summary: Very good the resolution, perfect picture quality. The 3D effect is very good, converts 2D into 3D. Makes very little noise, almost no noise. The only thing that bothers a bit is that long really hot. You have to hang as long hot and is very annoying. I consider it a great buy.
Summary: I bought this projector to go into my Media Room for movies and watching sports with my cable box. The projector has a good picture and I'm using it in a room that's 15x20 with a 100" projector screen. I was a little scared to buy this at first because this is my first projector and I didn't know how good the picture & quality would be. I have a LCD, DLP, Plasma, and LED TV, which I love a good 1080 picture. This projector didn't let me down.
Summary: first the pros. 1.good 3d when you get the settings right. 2. lightweight, easy to carry around 3. relatively cheap, for the features it offers. the cons 1. 3d menu lies hidden deep within the menus...blurring seen during motion...has to toggle with on, off,etc and sometimes the effect goes off(this is not 3dsync invert issue). 2.all glasses dont work..for me the ultraclears did..the optomas didnt 3.2d is very average..
Summary: The Vivitek D536-3D DLP Projector, is a great 3D projector, with decent contrast, color saturation and brightness for such a low price. This projector connects to 3D Blu-ray player and PS3 without any problems, let it be known this projector only do 3D at 720P, even at 720P the picture is still very good and also do a decent job of 2D to 3D conversion. If you are looking for a good 3D projector for a low price, this is the one to buy.
Summary: Pros Crisp, clear picture with both VGA and HDMI inputs Great price small lightweight Cons Source switching buttons didn't work on device, only on remote Gets really, really hot Hot plastic smells bad Bottom Line If you need a projector and want to minimize your cost, this is a great option. If you can afford to be a little pickier, I'd look elsewhere.
