Summary: We bought this projector about a year ago and loved it for the first 11 months. Then one day, we tried to turn it on and it wouldn't work. Curious. We pulled out the manual, which displayed a series of troubleshooting steps. When we turned on the power, the blue power led light blinked 8 times, indicating that there was a DMD error. Turns out that stands for "Digital Micromirror Device." We didn't really know what that meant, so we called customer service.
Summary: This was my first projector and I did alot of research before buying it. It met a most of the requirements in terms of picture quality and brightness etc. Everything was ok for three months... then the pixels started dying, (which means there were dark and light spots all over the screen) within one week we had close to 30 dead pixels spread across the screen. The Amazon 30 day warranty had expired so we contacted Vivitek and that was where the real disappointment came.
Summary: When I found this projector I was nervous, 3200 Lumen HD 3D for under $500? No way! Well I took a chance and I have to say, this projector rules! I love it. The picture is crystal clear, looks great even with the sun shining through my windows. It is so unbelievably portable, which for me is key, I own a wedding DJ company and use this for personal and business use. I have had many projectors over the years and this thing just kicks all of their butts!
Summary: the solution to the audio problem when it comes to hooking up the xbox 360 is that along with the HDMI port you also have a fiber optical out put for your audio and can connect to you stereo that way.
Summary: We needed a projector pronto on one of my projects. I volunteered to order one, and really found a good deal at Electronics Expo. Good price, fast shipping, and very good quality product for a reasonable price. Will use this seller again.
Summary: I purchased 2 of these projectors to replace a couple of Panasonic PT-L780NTU projectors. I purchased those 7 years ago or so for over $5,000 a piece. As those got older, I've been having to repair them more and more often and get parts replaced, recently about every 6 months for around $1,000 a pop. Well, I found this projector with the same brightness rating for only $550 and figured I couldn't go to wrong.
