Great little projector

Peter Vekinis, Amazon
22 November 2012
  • Summary: What a great product. I already have the Vivitek 950HD projector for my screening/movie room and friends come and we watch many films together. But this one is very small, very portable and very bright. In fact I use it in the garden during the summer to project movies while we all enjoy summer outdoors movies. It is not HD (but then it cost less than $500) but it is bright and very easy to setup.

Started Off Good, But Then....

IH8TAXEs, Amazon
4 September 2011
  • Summary: The picture quality and quiet operaton of this projector is outstanding. The problem is the pixels have started dying out now and I only have 387 hours of viewing time on this unit which I bought back in January, 2011. I am going to contact Amazon and Vivitek and see if I can get it replaced. I'll let you know how I make out... OK, so it's January 21 and still no RMA number from Vivitek to return my defective unit to be repaired.

Dead Pixels after 105 hours of usage

P. J. Weber, Amazon
25 May 2011
  • Summary: I purchased this projector after my previous one (a BenQ) was damaged by a lighting strike. I was impressed by the vivid colors, but the D535 was a bit noisier than the BenQ. The difference in noise level wasn't significant though, and I was pretty satisfied with my purchase. However, after 7 months of infrequent usage (105 total hours), the display started showing "dead pixels". It started with a single pixel just on the edge of the display - a minor annoyance.

Picture smaller than I imaged

Patrick, Amazon
27 April 2011
  • Summary: The projection is very high quality for the price, but to put it on a large screen you must be about 20 feet away from the screen, therefore requiring a longer video cord that the 6 ft one provided.

  • Summary: Very good proyector, great imagen quality and low price! about 420-450 us. i search couple days for a proyect and definitive this is best choice! the only thing is the internal audio suck ! and dont have jack audio out, so if you connect an xbox360 or dvdplayer with hdmi you`re stuck with internal speaker!

Definitely a good budget projector

M. Pepito, Amazon
7 January 2011
  • Summary: If you are looking for a projector that is not to pricey and is good quality well then you have found the one. This projector is perfect for your home theatre, in the classroom, or in the office. The little thing has hdmi, composite, vga in and out. It reads 1080p but is native 720p. 2600Lumens with 3000:1 contrast ratio so it even works with some daylight. I have it set up for a home entertainment center and for playing movies and games its done just fine.
