Excerpt: We use this for Sunday Morning Services. Projected images are AweSum! Only two problems: 1. Still too bright for my Video Camera to record at 60%. The image wants to over expose/ blow out, the Pastor standing next to the screen is too dark and is the color of the wall behind him. 2. Some color bands and horizonal lines moving down. This cannot be seen with your eye but is hard to adjust out. I have not figured out how to change the refresh rate on the projector.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy to use, Great picture quality, Reliable Performance, Small Footprint
Summary: After one day, I am blown away by this projector. It is bright enough at 50% so if the bulb ever dims it will still work great. Very sharp image and colors. I cannot find the network software. Not sure if the ViewSonic dongle or any other brand will work on the projector as advertised. The instructions are all for using the WiFi adapter on a computer.
Summary: Projector would power on but the bulb was broken. Big problem when you need the projector functioning for a conference in 2 days. Viewsonic support was woefully unhelpful. Got a refund and had a BenQ Projector overnighted, happy since.
Excerpt: Let me start by saying B&H Photo was and is great company to do business with. I wish I could say the same for ViewSonic. We are building a new church building and purchased what seemed to be a great value projector - the ViewSonic Pro8520HD. Our video installer ran into a problem. He could not get the image from the projector to be 16: 9 even though the setting was on 16: 9. We measured the screen to make sure it was correct - it was.
Pros: Free Return Shipping
Cons: 169 Image - Not Accurate, Customer Service, Improper Image - Not 169, Inaccurate Aspect Ratio, Quality
Excerpt: 5K lumens for this price point is exceptional but I had to return the unit due to a defective HDMI input #1 plus weak output audio. HDMI1 had static and flicker like a bad connection. HDMI2 worked flawlessly and had a beautiful, bright image. I was in heaven. But, I needed both to work and to import HDMI audio through the projector and then out to the room's sound system. The audio coming through the projector sounded overdriven but was half strength on the meters.
Pros: Bright Beautiful Image, Easily Viewed, Great price, Lightweight
Cons: Flimsy, Loud And Hot, Weak Audio Passthrough
Not distraction free viewing depending on your equipment

Summary: The Good. The projector is bright and has a great picture. It's the best 5000 lumens you can get for the price. This was meant for a room that has windows and the brightness is great. I wasn't as concerned about the finer points of picture quality, but I didn't notice anything that looked off. The Bad. The ViewSonic projector takes 6 seconds to negotiate a signal change.
