Summary: Personal Experience I never post on the internet regarding purchases I have made but I just had to with this projector. I had purchased an optoma hd71 and this projector to a/b them and to see if it was worth it to get the native widescreen projector for the extra 500 bucks. I have to say that there really not much of a difference at all. Blueray movies look awesome with great color and picture quality.
Summary: Personal Experience Honestly, I had an ancient projector with a bad blue lcd, and I was ok with that... Best $150 I ever spent on ebay... I decided to get rid of it and get a decent best bang for the buck PJ... I chose this one. I am really happy with it actually, it looks great with HD content on my xbox 360 over VGA. It's great for a quick setup and play all night kind of deal. ECO mode is perfectly fine for everyday/night use. I am happy with this purchase.
Summary: Personal Experience My old 7 year old projector went a couple weeks ago, so I needed to get a new TV or a new projector. Having a projector for awhile, it seemed to be what I was leaning towards. The obvious choice these days is to go with some type of wide format. When I looked at all the options, the costs started to cascade into the thousands of dollars, as well as more time and effort (redo the screen/possibly mount/cables--hdmi).
Summary: Searched all over and could not find a product with comparable specs at a price this good. During warm up interval, picture suffers from "noise", but eventually fades. Otherwise the brightness, resolution and features are very good, especially at this price.
