Summary: I shopped around a lot before making this purchase – literally years of skimming reviews. I've had this projector for quite a while now. The image is beautiful, and it's worked well for a long time.
Summary: For the price, this projector has been a great value. It does everything I need it to and wonderfully. It is clear and bright. You can adjust the projection to fit the screen. It has manual focus. It automatically projects my laptop when my laptop is setup properly. It is light. It doesn't need to cool down before being put away in the bag. I've had it for several months and never had an issue. I use it to show my client's their images after a photo session.
Summary: Now what can we say about this projector? I just gotta say I really enjoy having this projector. After the first month or two I decided to hang it from the ceiling, it's not too heavy of a load for the drop ceiling that it's tied to in no special fashion. It stays on pretty much 24/7....hold on I'll check the hours on it (it has that feature but I think maybe they all might)... okay it's exactly 4005 lamp hours ...
Summary: I love this projector, it has a great picture, color, detail, and is very easy to use. It gives me more of a theater or movie experience than just a TV experience. I have a nice 3D bluray collection and this projector satisfies my 3D hunger. A good 3D movie is amazing. Once a month I take it to my Church for movie night, and we watch a big colorful widescreen movie, we also have a great sound system to match the picture.
Summary: The ViewSonic PJD5523w is an excellent projector. I purchased it along with a 3D Converter Box so I could watch 3D movies from my PS3 on the big screen. Installing a ceiling mount onto the projector itself was a breeze (installing to the ceiling was a different matter- but that doesn't have anything to do with the projector itself.) Once attached to the ceiling the set-up took a few minutes and I was watching movies in no time.
Summary: Best purchase I have ever made. Works great, watch it every night. I had thought about purchasing a more expensive model but chose this one and it blew me away with its stunning picture considering I have it at 100 inches and the price I paid for it. I used a 50 ft hdmi cable to run to a 3 way splitter for my blu-ray player, x-box, and cable box. It contributes to the ultimate set up.
Summary: This really is a corker of a projector, multi use makes this unit a viable proposition in a wide variety of applications,ie;classrooms, home cinema, even small to medium audiotoriums.Because it is a dlp projector you can gain a higher light output(white light),than some of the other variants on the open market. With a 180watt lamp it can achieve a whopping 2700ansi lumens, thats enough for a 218" or 16ft diag screen with 16ft lamberts. This means it reaches a good potential...
