Summary: Recommend to all movie lovers expect if you are ok with below things :) 1) Fan noise - roars well, at the same time it keeps the box cool, so if you are using a Bluetooth headset or home theater you wouldn't notice this. 2) Aspect ratio - 4:3 , as most of the broadcast these days are HD 16:9, this projector shrinks down your video, now this is a problem when your room is small, if you have a bigger room, you can project a 2 meter dia video ultra clear with no issues :)...
Summary: • USED FOR: Presentations/home theater. I have a brand new non-profit, and that means I'm pitching my non-profit to anyone I can get to listen. This unit is perfect for me. I can toss it into its own padded Pelican case (with it's necessary cables/adaptors, etc.), and even have space to throw in an SLR camera for videotaping the presentation or taking stills if necessary. The home theater aspect is really fun!
Excerpt: The staff using this projector love it. They were able to take it out of the box and put it to work immediately. It produced a nice bright image for them that made their presentation a success.
Summary: worked well when it did work. Pixels were huge on this model, but thats to be expected with its native resolution of 800x600. After less then 10hours of use the hdmi port would only work periodically. It just got worse and worse until it finally just stayed the viewsonic page witth the info in the corner saying "no signal". I tried different cables and different things, but nothing worked. Really bummed out this didnt' work.Returned for and exchanged for the PJD7820HD.
Summary: First, this is a great projector for the price. I paid somewhere around 350 for it, and was excited to see what kind of picture quality I'd get from it as many of the reviews raved about the high quality. Well, though it's a good price for what it is, do not expect to get anywhere near HD quality. I immediately noticed the pixels at my 11 ft viewing distance. It's bright, and still a good picture, but not nearly as clear as some reviews led me to believe.
