Summary: This was another first for me so I contacted a friend that helped me pick this out. We use it for business- education both internal and external, and also for our webinars with staff. We use a screen and have no trouble seeing it even with the lights on. My only concern is that the projected picture is not square- it has an elevated point on the top left side that no amount of adjusting on my part fixes it.
Excellent Projector for the money. Waaay better than a TV

Summary: I was looking for a bigger TV when I decided to go with a projector. I found this one and it is perfect. Great picture quality and I have it set to its near maximum size, with no loss of definition. Although there is one down side I found, which if you plan to buy for this specific reason(doesnt make much sense) you wont like this.
Summary: The price point of this projector made it a no brainer as I persued a 3D home theater that didn't put a big dent in the wallet. 3D ready with HDMI input under $350 makes this projector a real value. Combined with the Optima 3D-XL converter and PS3 I now have a sweet setup. Avatar is insane!!! Reason for the star drop is due to the streaking associated with high action HD television. Not always noticeable and not a huge issue.
Summary: This projector is my 3rd from view sonic, so far I have not had a projector last more than 3 years before they go out for some reason or another. The quality is fantastic on this one. The picture is great and the colors are bright with out being washed out. I have it about 15 feet from a wall painted ultra flat white and its as good a picture as a Walmart vizio. 60 to 120 hz is good plus HDMI input to boot.
Great Projector for Price; HDMI; Easy to Use & Set-up; Movies look amazing!

Summary: Love this projector! 3D ready is nice, though I have yet to delve into that. It's very light compared to a lot of other projectors out there. The HDMI port makes projecting HD images really easy, from PC or elsewhere. Darker scenes in a lit room are a little more difficult to see than on a 3000+ Lumens projector but most under 3000 Lumens have this issue.
Summary: I will probably get an earful from the hardcore tech people out there but we are very happy with this product. We purchased the projector to fulfill a promise to my niece who wanted to watch movies outside in our backyard. While she has yet to be able to watch any we have and cannot be happier. All we did was take two thicker table cloths we had from our wedding and hung them on our neighbors garage. It is perfect for our purposes.
Summary: This projector was exactly what I was looking for. But it's not for everyone. The image is clearly not HD but it does support it but then converts the video to a smaller size. If you go to any average movie theater the image you see is what you get with this. It's not a perfectly sharp true motion hd projector. But it is pretty amazing for the price you pay. I bought two sheets and used tape to tape them both up overlapping each other.
Summary: I took a while to research different projectors and this one had all the things that I was looking for, which were: 1. Full HD Projection 2. High Lumen count 3. 1/8 inch audio out I use it on my brick wall, and even though it's on a rough surface, it still manages to look amazing, especially playing blu-rays. I don't believe there's another projector that's as good as this one for the $378 price tag.
Summary: Great projector for the price, only negative is I am not happy with the zoom and throw distance. We have to have the projector really far back from the screen to get a 100" image, much farther then some other projectors we have owned. For the price it's a great purchase, we are using this for a conference room.
