Summary: Its a great product in regards to brightness and contrast, thats why I'm giving it 2 stars, but the resolution was not worth it. Only for Schools or or business needs that don't need the high quality.
Summary: Make no mistake, this is a budget projector through and through. The product description and customer reviews seemed to indicate that the picture quality was comparable to an HD display, or at the very least extremely sharp, but in reality it could not be further from HD. I bought this projector to replace a tiny 26" 720p tv, but I plan on returning it tomorrow. If you are accustom to HD, clarity is not worth the tradeoff for size.
Summary: ....this one is 4:3, not 16:9. It will crop a 16:9 image but you will see light overcast in a big old square around it. It ghosts pretty bad with quick moving images. If you are buying mainly for watching TV/movies, look at the PJD5523W from View Sonic instead. It is only a little bit more but offers a real HD picture and native 16:9.
I have serious reservations about viewsonics products.

Summary: This is my second viewsonic projector. It works well in 2d, but it won't pick up the 1080p signal from the hdmi cable. I bought a new cable and it still won't work. However, I do get a 3d signal from the composite input. I've talked extensively with Viewsonic and they have no idea what is going on. It worked fine for the first 2-3 days then quit. When it works the picture is great. Just wish it would work as advertised.
Summary: I must say, I am unimpressed by this. I was very excited about the reviews of this, saying that it could do 1080p. However, I plugged this thing into my computer (through the HDMI port), installed the drivers, and tried to show something on it. It's really not 1080p. I would say it's stuck in 800x600 or something.
