Pros: Very bright display - works well even in well-lit conference rooms. Bought it for presentation use, but it also works great for movies as well. The price is absolutely unbeatable. I'm very happy and would definitely buy this again.
Cons: Can't quite figure out how to get the remote to work for advancing slides, etc. but that's just me. Display is only 800x600 - which I knew going in, and it hasn't been a problem for me, but may be a deal breaker for some.
I'm returning it because what I wanted was something easy and flexible to hook up to various media for ...

Summary: I wanted to save others some time and effort on this product, because I spent a day running around for connecting cables. I wanted to hook this up to my DVD player, but the only port out of the DVD player is HDMI, and despite buying an HDMI-to-VGA connector, it didn't work. I don't have a laptop and neither my Dell desktop nor my Apple desktop has a VGA port.
Great basic projector. Mac users - be warned though!

Summary: This is a nice, economical projector that's lightweight and relatively easy to use. Bought it to travel for events at work and making it a lot more efficient than renting projectors along the way. One warning for Mac users, you definitely need a VGA to Mini DisplayPort, I tried a DVI converter and it didn't quite work, so get something like "AmazonBasics Mini DisplayPort (Thunderbolt) to VGA Adapter" and it should be fine.
Good projector but test first to ensure you have all necessary connectors

Summary: Overall, this is a nice projector. The display is very clear and the controls are reasonably easy to use. My only concerns are that it really does not come with everything you'll likely need to get started. I had to buy several extra cords to use it (HDMI converter and USB to mini-USB). Computers, or whatever input you're using, all have different configurations and outputs and this machine can accept most of those but you may need more cords to do that.
Summary: I have owned this projector for over a year now. My set up isn't fancy. I just have it up high on a shelf in my tiny tiny living room. It displays on an off white wall and it looks amazing. Everyone wants to come over for movie night. We've saved so much money just staying inside and watching on demand with microwave popcorn in our own little private theater. And everyday programming is like a big orchestra.
Summary: So I bought this projector for my PowerPoints and hoped for a strong picture, ease of use and strong light. The PJD5 exceeded those expectations. For what you pay, you get all you need. The setup is super easy, the adjustments to the picture shape and the placement are so simple, I can teach anybody to use it. The ONLY thing I miss, is a laser pointer in the remote. I am not sure what happened to that idea, but every Projector remote should have that feature.
