Summary: I was a little tentative before buying this projector due to the 800 x 600 SVGA picture, but I was pleasantly surprised that the picture was fantastic. It's bright and vivid, even with some ambient lighting. It does lack an HD input, but as another reviewer (Blaser) noted, you can get around this for less than $15.
Summary: My xwife has optic nerve athrophy and must watch a larger then life screen to watch T.V. everal years ago I Purchased a DLP projector. It was ok and she could watch TV.I paid big and the lamp did not last more then 1500 hours. That may seem like a long time but its only a year or a little more for her. the replacement lamps were 334.00 dollars each and over the last few years it addad up. well the projector died and I purchased a new one. viewsonic DLP.
Summary: I bought this because it is a brand name and was about half price. I am using it to show outdoor movies at small military bases around Afghanistan. It works good but is an older style and does not have all the fancy connections the new ones have. But for my use that does not matter and it I break it or lose it, my lose is small.

Summary: We have 4 of these deployed in a bar environment switched on 12+ hours a day to show sports and other TV channels and we couldn't be happier. They are exceptionally easy to install with a simple menu that makes it easy to invert the picture, adjust the keystone settings, and basically set up the projector so that the only button that needs to be pressed is ON/OFF. Fortunately, there's a remote so there's no need to touch anything on the unit itself.
Summary: You get what you pay for. Worth the price but your not buying a hd tv. i have it hooked up to my computer to watch all my movies on. games are good on it. i like the 16:9 ratio. dont worry about movies on this thing its great. very bright can be used in lit room. i use eco mode because its to bright =] Dont know what the 3d would look like. the nvidia glasses just went down in price..
Summary: As an AV professional I can really say this projector rocks! So far I have used it to show DVD's and HD FIOS TV images and it has handled everything I send it. For the price it's bright, sharp and quiet. Add to that a 4000 hour bulb life (6000 in "eco" mode) and a wide range of adjustments and it easily competes with projectors many times the cost.
Summary: I was looking for an inexpensive projector for our Church to use on movie nights and 2500 lumen seemed enough to do the job. Being a teacher I have used many projectors in school as well as at conferences some costing many times what I paid for this unit. When this one came in I plugged it into my netbook and was amazed at the picture it had. It was not only very bright but the color was amazing.
Summary: i'm using this projector in a linux (ubuntu) system. the quality of the image is perfect.... it's easy to set up (in fact, there is not necesary to do anything at all, just to plug it on). the image size is always the same, it just depend of the projection distance. but the image resolution depends of the connection wire (if a s-video the max resolution is 800x600, if VGA the resolution grow up to 1920x1200....) and the graphic card.
