Summary: Good solid performer. Quiet in whisper mode. I bought this for showing movies out doors. It has been a smash hit this summer. Works well with DVD, Blu-ray, and Ipad. My 13 year old son and his friends can set this up and have a movie on the screen while the adults are bringing out the munchies!
Overall it's wonderful. Doesn't have HDMI but for the $ to get HDMI it's ok

Summary: This isn't the end all to be all projector. It isn't even close to one of the best BUT for the money that you will spend to purchase this unit compared to a high end projector.... well let's just say if you had 2K or more to spend on a projector, you wouldn't even be looking at this unit. Now that we got that out of the way, I like this unit very much. It does leave me wanting a little more but I have used this unit for over 7 years and I have NEVER BEEN EMBARRASSED.
Summary: This projector is much more than I was expecting for the price I paid. The image looks beautiful and bright! I have another projector that cost me 5 times more and this one looks same or better.
Summary: Personal Experience Used this projector for one year. Amazingly good looking projection on the wall. On a screen it looked even better (of course). Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC looked awesome. Problems None.
Summary: Personal Experience I got this projector just over a year ago to replace my Infocus X1. I would have preferred a 1080p projector, but since money was a bit tight, I decided to save a little and use a cheaper projector for the next year or two. I bought the Viewsonic from Costco for $620 including tax and shipping and it came with a rebate for a free extra bulb.
Summary: This projector was a STEAL for the price. It even came with a mail in rebate for a FREE bulb too!!??! Great value!!!!!!!!!!! Picture quality is an 8 out of 10 in my opinion. Really bright, not up to par with cinema projectors but for the price you cant go wrong. Really small and fairly quiet compared to my old 1990's projector. My only disappointment with the projector was that it doesnt have much focal range. i.e.
Summary: Needed a basic projector for our conference room in the church. Haven't even tried it out yet -- but I'm expecting this will do the trick. Just remember folks: when brightness is an issue, you'll want something with high numbers in the Lumens AND the Contrast Ratio. If you want to see anything on screen properly when the lights are turned on, you better hit at least 1500 in both areas (Lumens & Contrast Ratio).
Summary: First off, this projector is a great price. You get 1024x768 for the ballpark of $600, and ViewSonic frequently runs "free spare bulb" rebate offers, which I sent in and recieved in a timely manner. The bulbs supposedly last 3500 hours, which is on the high end for the projector market. They supposedly last 4000 hours in economy mode. At 16 hours per weekend you could get 5 years out of a bulb.
