Summary: Personal Experience I was looking for a very inexpensive projector to use in the basement for kids to watch videos. I found this one on Ebay, it was brand new in unopened box. I been using it now for several week after Christmas and I couldn't be more pleased. The image is very bright and clear. In fact, the image quality is still very high even with light shining into room.
The PJ503D has a contrast that overcomes light in a very smart package.

Summary: The image on the PJ503D is one of the clearest images you can get in a well priced projector. It holds it's own against any projector on the market. Hook it to your computer in seconds and to another video source and you will see a crisp image often better than the signal itself. It could use a manual zoom for easier placement but you make that up in portability. Hands down this is a quiet and simple projector to set up.
Summary: A great projector for conference room or classroom. I did not buy it for a projection TV system, so cannot comment on it's performance in that function. It is easy to set up and quick to start. Since it doesn't have a zoom feature, you have to change the distance to the screen to get the right display size, but with the performance and price, it is a great value.
Summary: Personal Experience I've bought and sold many used projectors over the last 3 years. All varieties bought on Ebay. Viewsonic projectors are defintely my favorite for picture quality, bulb life, ease of use and price. Problems There is no zoom function?? That really sucks. This means the only way you can control the size of the screen is to physically move the projector backwards and forwards. Most other projectors have this key feature.
Summary: Mounting is great in any direction due to the full mirroring options. This projector is whisper quiet and extremely bright with a great picture at 100" diagonal (about 8 feet by 5 feet). Works great on manilla and white wall. Extravigant colors on a projection screen. Sunlight leaves the image dim but great for normal viewing, Turn off the lights and you have one of the most amazing pictures to see on a projector with no screening.
Summary: . First of all equipment is light and easy to set up. Plus, It gives me a feeling of being in my own movie house. Digital cable is wonderful. The only downside is that you need a home stero system with an aux setting, but then you have great sound. No really expensive sound surround system needed. Its fun and easy to use. I was looking at plasma and HD TVs and couldn't handle the price. This was much better and now anything that used to watch for TV is absolete.
Summary: Personal Experience I am more than happy with this projector. The image is perfect. The HD channels just blow me away. My game systems look spectactular. This is a great projector, well worth the money. I would recommend it to anyone.
