Summary: Personal Experience I found this one on craigslist used and decided for the price, it wouldn't hurt to experiment. I am hooked now. I use it for gaming (I have a 360) and it allows me to play in HD. WOW! This is one of the best investments I have made. While it's not flawless - the screen door effect takes it down a notch graphically - but overall, it's very, very impressive. Problems None yet ...
Summary: Personal Experience The color is good. There is a bit of a screen door effect but you have to get up close to make it a big issue. I got it for a 1/3 of the price so it was a great deal (new). I bought based on the review of others on this site. This is my first projector. I look at the specs for a number of them. It seemed like every unit had something that a person could fine to bitch about. But for the price I can live with it. Problems No problem so far.
Summary: Personal Experience i purchased this projector for under 500 dollars.my overall expierence has been great.nothing at all top complain of.this projector is exceptionally bright even on eco mode.i think you cant go wrong with this one,i really like it. Problems none at all, very reliable.
Summary: Personal Experience Very bright image that is quite large for the throw distance.Very easy set-up and menu works well. I really liked the move image up/down. Has Component input! Returned after 2 days for a BenQ 6110 Problems Very loud fan Powercord plugs into the side near the front. Screen door is very apparent.
Summary: Personal Experience I compared at least 10 projectors including the Sony, Optoma, HP, Toshiba, Infocus and the Viewsonic both LCD and DLP models. I am convinced that the LCD projector can do a better job of reproducing colors and truo Home Theater quality picture. The DLP technology needs to be upgraded to more color wheels and higher lumens to match the same LCD quality.
Summary: Personal Experience I was seriously considering the InFocus S1 but reconsidered and bought this. There was a $100 dollar rebate and I liked the fact that it was brighter that the S1 by about 400 lumens...I have used it with my computer (Powerpoint) and a DVD player at home...Although this is LCD technology, I was pleased with the on-screen reproduction using the DVD....Unbelievably easy to use..
Summary: Personal Experience I bought this projector simply because it was on the shelf at bestbuy after I returned my X1(I reviewed that one too). I was ready to buy a projection TV but the salesman said to try this model at no risk. This projector was priced at $1399 with a $100 rebate and a free Viewsonic N5 tuner. This places it above the 999 pricepoint- extra cost justified by additional brightness. This projector does a does good job when you display component, 480p video.
