Features

The VPL-VW90ES is a Full HD 1080p 3D Home Cinema projection system that provides users with 3D cinematic experience in the home via its SXRD Panel technology. The VPL-VW90ES’s SXRD 3 panel display system for dot-free display, optimized colors and a dynamic contrast ratio (80,000:1). The system features three separate red, blue and green panels which gives optimized color performance and detail. It also features Sequential Frame where each frame, for each eye, is shown using the full HD resolution of the projector and reduces loss of resolution in 3D projection mode, 3D setting mode that lets users adjust the 3D glasses shutter speed and brightness level, as well as 3D depth; 240Hz Panel Drive which gives low cross-talk from the frame-sequential 3D system, realism and optimized viewing; 2D to 3D conversion that supports Blu Ray / DVD / HD Broadcast / Digital Still Picture and converts them into pseudo-3D; Advanced Iris3 control that enhances the contrast, maximizes black levels without diminishing peak brightness; Motionflow with two modes: one that creates “intermediate” frames to reduce jerkiness, and the other which inserts a dark frame instead of repeating frames where frame-rate conversion is taking place. This creates smoother-looking motion, and a more cinema-like appearance; True 24p mode which material 24 frames per second images for film-like appearance; Anamorphic Zoom mode that lets users see films in their original cinematic aspect ratio (2.35:1 for example) in full resolution, without cropping or “letterbox” black bands above and below the picture (requires a third-party a third-party lens adaptor); Electronically Adjustable Lens Shift; 3 Cinema Modes which matches the output of the projector with the characteristics of the projected material; 11 Gamma correction settings; White and Black Level adjustment; 10-bit color delivery for smoother gradations between shades of the same color; Sony Digital Video Processing System which applies eight separate processes to video to increase sharpness and color clarity; automatic motorized lens that opens when the projector is powered on, and closes when it is powered off; inputs which include HDMI 1.4, VGA, Component, S-Video and Composite; compatibility with BRAVIA Sync (HDMI CEC); and a cooling system that keeps noise to a minimum.
