The VPL-VW200 home cinema projector from Sony features high frame-rate SXRD (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display) technology, Sony’s take on the Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS) display technology. It uses a Carl Zeiss multi-element glass lens and a Xenon gas lamp.

The projector, which comes in a metallic gray finish with black accents, measures approximately 19.53 x 6.89 x 22.60 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 44 pounds. The standard package includes an RM-PJVW200 backlit remote control (infrared) and an air filter.

The VPL-VW200’s 400 watt high-output Xenon gas lamp has an estimated life of 2000 hours in Full Power mode and up to 3000 hours in Low Power mode. The projector has a brightness level of 800 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of up to 35000:1 when Sony’s Advanced Iris technology is switched on.

The VPL-VW200 outputs pictures at a 16:9 aspect ratio and full HD 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). Users can expect projection image sizes of 40 inches to 300 inches from the recommended distances of 126 inches to 370 inches.

For sharper, crisper images and true-to-life colors, the projector offers Sony’s Bravia PRO full digital video processing, ARC-F (All Range Crisp Focus) lens, MotionFlow high frame rate technology, RCP (Real Color Processing), x.v.Color technology and Panel Alignment.

The Sony VPL-VW200 has 2 HDMI inputs and one input each for component video, composite video, VGA and S-Video. Other ports include RS232C for control devices, a 12-volt trigger for electric drop-down screens and a 10 BASE-T/100BASE-TX port.
