Summary: Personal Experience Oct. 2009 This is a terrific projector. I bought mine in 2004, and it has been flawless. I've only changed the bulb once, though I do keep the unit in a well ventilated area and dust it out with canned air. It's a native 1080i compatible projector, and does not have HDMI although you can get a cable to go from DVI to HDMI or vice versa. I've seen the new projectors on the market and unless you spend 2000-3000 you're not gonna beat the quality.
Summary: Personal Experience I just wanted to follow up on an old review I did of this projector. I still feel the same way about the projector, but my opinion has changed about Sony's service. I think they have done a complete 180, and offer far better service than they used to. When I had a malfunction with the prism block, I sent it in and they replaced the entire block, power supply, filter and even put in a new lamp for free...and it was a week past warranty!
Summary: Personal Experience I have been using the projector for a long time, image fantastic for home theater, and the picture quality and progresive scan is great, input component video (DVD)of corse.
Summary: Personal Experience I loved the picture and everything about the projector. Bulb went out after only 240 hours. very expensive to have to replace lamp. Problems Lamp went out after only 240 hours on the timer. Just right after the 90 day lamp warranty expired. Expensive Lamp to replace.
Summary: Personal Experience I have the projector since february 03, and so far have had no problems. just teamed it up with the samsung dvd player and the picture is awesome thru the dvi input. waiting on a high def satellite box, will write back when i get the hd box. Problems none yet.
