Summary: Personal Experience Awesome home theater system with my in-wall Bose Surround Sound. Better than being at the movies. Great color, crisp sharp picture, great contrast capabilities. I prefer to watch this over my other flat screen HD TV's in the house. Fantastic for movies and sports broadcasts.
SONY Cineza projector - best 'Bang for the Buck' home theater projector.
3 October 2012
Summary: The SONY Cineza VLP-H60 (and its Cineza predecessors) is a wonderful Home Theater projector. They are easy to set up and they produce an amazing picture on a screen or painted wall. I have both a model 51A and this newly acquired 60, from these I have the full theater experience for my movies (DVD, HD-DVD and Blu-ray) and my favorite TV shows (DVD). Also it is nice to be able to 'pickup' my TV and play it somewhere else occasionally.
Summary: fast set-up still going on original lamp about 3000 hours brightness fading at this point, need to replace lamp .so far shopping for lamps an adventure prices range from $240 to over 500 so be careful do your homework. still trying to find a replacement air filter, Sony is the only one to have it @ 24.99 still looking for that.
Summary: I bought this projector the day it came out - several years ago. Mine is called the Sony Cinza VPL-HS61 but it's the same thing. This is a 720P projector but supports a 1080 signal. Blade Runner on HD DVD looks AMAZING on my 13 foot screen! (I'm sure BD does too.. that's a different story). After about 3-4 years of use it's telling me I need to replace the lamp.
Summary: This is a fantastic projector - one of the best investments I've made in a long time. The best thing about it is the image shift. From wherever you have the projector set up, you can shift the image 1/2 the image's width left or right, and a full image height vertically. The projector does this without affecting the image quality in any way, unlike other projectors. I did a lot of homework and a lot of projectors out there are very picky about where you place them.
Summary: Personal Experience This is my second projector the first was infocus 4805 screenplay. Thought that was the shit until the color wheel exploded. I turned this sony on and wet my pants WOW what a difference for the money the best you can buy!!! Mine is in my basement so no light problems of any sort. Please if you are looking for a projector this is it!!
Summary: Personal Experience My 3rd projector, 1st LCD. Absolutely fantastic picture, best I have owned or used. Colours sharp and rich, great for movies. The Flexible lens shift is great, very quiet, highly recommend for the price.
