The BRAVIA VPL-HW15 is a home cinema projector that supports a 1.6 times zoom lens (manual) with f=18.5 to 29.6 mm / F2.50 to F3.40 value, a projection picture size of 40 to 300 inches (1,016mm to 7,620mm) (measured diagonally), and supports the following video signals: 15kHz RGB/component 50/60Hz, Progressive component 50/60Hz, 480/60i, 576/50i, 480/60p, 576/50p, 720/60p, 720/50p, 1080/60i, 1080/50i,1080/48i; 1080/60p (HDMI only), 1080/50p (HDMI only), 1080/24p(HDMI only); Composite video, Y/C video. It also supports Deep Color, Lens Shift Function, a 0.61-inch (15.4mm) SXRD panel, 6,220,800 pixels (2,073,600 pixels x3) micro display type, BRAVIA Engine 2 video processing, Wide Mode : Wide Zoom, Normal, Full, Zoom, Full1, Full2 and x.v.Color™ Technology. The BRAVIA VPL-HW15 supports up to 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) display resolution and projects a screen size of 40" to 200" measured diagonally (projected). It supports up to 1,000 Lumens brightness and up to 60,000:1 contrast ratio. It has a power consumption of 300W in operation and 8W on standby (0.5W (low mode)). The unit which measures 16 1/8 x 71/8 x 18 3/8 inches and weighs 22 lbs, features BRAVIA® Theatre Sync™ with One-Button Home Theater Control (HDMI-CEC), input and outputs such as Phono type / HD D-sub 15-pin component video and progressive connector, Composite Video Input, HDMI, D-sub 9-pin RS-232C and Y/C mini DIN 4-pin type S-Video connectors.

The BRAVIA VPL-HW15 features Full HD 1080p resolution, three SXRD micro-display panels that work with a specially developed ARC-F (All Range Crisp Focus) lens and BRAVIA Engine™ 2 digital video processor for life-like images. It is powered by a 200W lamp that provides optimal brightness in rooms with ambient light from lamps or windows, and Advanced Iris 3 technology for high contrast of up to 60,000:1 by automatically optimizing picture brightness on a scene-by-scene basis. It also supports a 10-bit processor with 10-bit SXRD™ panels that results in a display with 64 times the level of color expression of 8-bit projectors. A Panel Alignment function enables pixel alignment to within 1/10th of a pixel5, making it possible to shift the entire picture to adjust for color gaps and produce a clearer, and more detailed picture. Other features include x.v.Color technology, noise reduction functions, Adjustable Lens Shift, RCP (Real Color Processing) function and 24p True Cinema™ output.
