Sony VPL-HW10

CNET
5 June 2009
  • Summary: Sony's VPL-VW10, the company's least expensive SXRD projector yet, proves itself a very good performer for the price, and therefore an excellent value.
  • Pros: Reproduces deep, clean blacks with solid shadow detail; reasonably accurate color; excellent feature package including horizontal and vertical lens shift; sleek styling.
  • Cons: Red and green are somewhat inaccurate; zoom, focus and lens shift are manual, not electronic; not bright enough to drive very large screens.

Sony BRAVIA VPL-HW10 SXRD Projector

Sound & Vision Magazine
9 March 2009
  • Excerpt: Sony turned the high-end projector world on its ear with the introduction of the VPL-VW100 SXRD projector. The VPL-VW100 offered resolution and performance far beyond other projectors at or near its price point. Sony has continued to push that envelope with more and more SXRD offerings at lower price points. The latest is the VPL-HW10, which is the lowest-priced SXRD projector yet at $3,500. It brings the high resolution and high contrast of SXRD to the budget market.

Sony VPL-HW10 Projector Review

Projector reviews
1 December 2008
  • Conclusion: I’d like to say that the VPL-HW10 is a significant improvement over the older VPL-VW40 it replaces. And, as it turns out, it is, true in some regards. While it offers only minor improvements in image performance, such as sharpness, black levels, etc., where it does shine, though (pun intended), is in brightness, and price performance.
  • Pros: Extremely good color accuracy after calibration, Excellent black level performance, Very good shadow detail, Very bright, in “best” movie mode, Extensive color control management (called RCP), for the adjustment of individual colors (we do not go this far, in our calibration), 2 HDMI 1.3 inputs with full support for 24 fps, Deep Color, x.v. color, HDMI CEC (control) etc., No image noise issues, thanks to very good image processing, Good menus, Very good (but not great...

Sony VPL-HW10 review

Stuff.tv
21 July 2009
  • Summary: The price of this Sony has been up and down like a portable projector screen in the past six months or so. We’ve seen it at a far cheaper £1750, yet, here we are now with a retail price of around £2100. Having said that, once again, at the time of writing we've spotted it a little cheaper in places. Best to search online.

Sony VPL-HW10

pcworld.pl
2 August 2010
Technologia ta to połączenie elementów technologii DLP i LCD. LCOS oznacza liquid crystal on silicon.
