  • Summary: Personal Experience I've read that the screen door effect can be an issue with this projector. Can anyone give me some recomendations so I can set it up right? How far do I need to be from the screen? Do filters help? Problems My XV-Z12000U is set to arrive tomorrow. I will post a follow up review based on my experience.

  • Summary: Personal Experience The picture is unbelievable and everyone is blown away by it. I'm projecting onto a 119" stewart firehawk, wish the projector was a little bit brighter however.

  • Summary: Personal Experience Installed 2/04 16' to a 100" Stewart Greyhawk and now have 1140 Hrs on bulb and still the best I've seen. Wouldn't change a thing, every one that sees it is blown away and two have bought the same after watching it. Problems The cooling fan can be a little noisy at times.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I have had mine for about two years with no problems whatsoever! The contrast is razor charp, and the lighting is great for a theater room or a large room. There are other marginally better units that are a little cheaper and offer less contrast and higher lumens for a large/longer throw. But for value and performance at a $6,500 price, makes it the best deal going, depending on your application. Problems None so far.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I've used this projector with a 0.6ND filter and Wow it looks like a CRT projector. I have clocked up about 120 hours and it freaks me out how good this is. If you want the blackest of blacks use this combination. Problems I had the previous model XV-Z9000 and it blew a bulb early at 1000 hours. It has'nt stoped me purchasing this model.

  • Summary: Personal Experience We have sold 4 of these projectors and many of the preceding units Z10000 and Z9000 There is no doubt regards the image quality or the performance out of the box. Also apparent is the improvement over the last model although that was also a very good projector.

  • Summary: Personal Experience This is the absolute best value for an unbeatable combination that can be had for $7K or less! It has the best contrast and color wheel that is unbelieveable. Regular TV really looks as good if not better than on my Sony 42" Plasma TV! Problems None so far other than it is really hard to balence and perfectly center it with the ceiling mount system I used. Other than that it works right out of the box.

  • Summary: Personal Experience It was worth the wait for me. Gorgeous looking projector...awesome picture (5500:1). Love the remote settings particularly the three modes- High contrast, High brightness and Medium- at the push of a button on the remote. Also, like the FilmTone feature and others...You have to see the picture to believe how good it is, I wish I could post a screen shot here. Problems I a projecting onto a 122" screen so I had to place the projector 20 ft away.

  • Summary: Personal Experience The colors/resolution/contrast on this unit are simply stunning, especially with HDTV/DVD material.Plus I am using a cheap white pull-down screen 100" displaying a 95" 16x9 image, my Stewart Firehawk 116" is on order, so things should only get Better, OH BOY!!

  • Summary: Personal Experience When I first saw the HDTV image on this projector I could not believe that it was coming from an under 8,000 dollar machine.I had all my friends and family over for the superbowl and almost two weeks later they are still talking about the TV. I have it projecting on to a Da-lite 119" high contrast cinema vision screen. The picture quality is incredible.
