  • Summary: Personal Experience Pricey it was. I have had mine for 6 years without a single blip. Its picture is theater like in every respect on my 96" Firehawk screen and Sony ES DVD player. Light in room is very controlled. I have just moved to a new house and hope the set up is as easy this time as it was in the first go round. Kudos to Sharp. Problems Nary a single snare.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I posted in July of 2004. We now have only 340 hours on the projector. It is not used daily, but we do enjoy weekend movies or video games on the HTPC. The image is still good, but I have to say for a "High End" projector, the quality stops at the door. Problems The first issue is at around 300 hours, we have a dead pixel. This would not be a big issue, but it is right in the center of the screen and black.

  • Summary: Personal Experience Purchased this projector new in November of 04 and we really love the picture quality. The native 720P format really shines when running our LG upconversion DVD player or Radio Shack OTA HD tuner. Due to the low lumens this projector works best in a very low light environment, we have a media room so this is not a problem.

  • Summary: Personal Experience Purchased about 2 weeks ago as a closeout (new in box) Price was eacellent at $4400. Can't get over how amazing the picture is while projecting on a simple painted white wall. I can just imagine what it will be like with a quality screen! Color is rich and setup was a breeze. Controls and menus are perfect. I am using a Harmon Kardon DVD 50 in progressive scan along with a HTPC for games and an XBOX projecting in component video. In one word great.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I do not own one of these but reviewed one in a dark controlled-light room with a 100 inch screen (at a home trade show). Picture quality was rather poor in my opinion - very dissapointing to say the least for the cost of this thing. Get a Sanyo PLV-Z2 for one fifth the cost with a similar or better picture. Read this with a grain of salt. As I said I do not own one and don't know if the projector was adjusted properly.

  • Summary: Personal Experience Bang for the buck best projector going. With the introduction of the Z10000 pricing has droped in half I bought my Z9000 for $5,000. Amazing picture, must have room with controled light.

  • Summary: Personal Experience after 10 months and 300 hundred hours of bulb use i am still amazed by the image quality, running from my mac G4 thru input 5 vga connector projecting 1:85 and 2:35 films on diy screen 96" diaganol, only complaint wish it had 200 to 400 more lumen output capapbility and can see occasional banding in shaded areas, other than that i can't see spending addiditional money on the 10000 or the soon to be 12000 when you can get these at around $4999 now..

  • Summary: Personal Experience Easy install for a first timer. Picture is awesome on a Stewart Videomatt screen (helped to brighten picture in not so dark room). Image is incredible with HD and handles really dark movies very well. Ecstatic with my purchase! Problems None.
