Summary: I am very picky when it comes to projectors because my first one was a Sony VPL-HS10 which at the time was better than any other projector I had ever seen. A few years ago, it stopped functioning and there wasn't a replacement worth buying. I know because I purchased and returned 3 of them before I finally said I'd wait for 3D. When I decided to get a 3D projector, I was convinced that I was going with the Sony because I had such good luck with the last one.
Summary: Through a period of time, it feels good. Color is perfect Great projector...easy to set up (although it had limited picture adjustments, so you need a good place for it). Great image. I'm projecting it on a 150" screen in dedicated light-controlled room. EXCELLENT 3D...better then I've ever seen (including IMAX). Only real disappointment is that it does not play 1080p24 3D.
Summary: Personal Experience I'm using it on a DIY 150" screen in a light controlled room. The image is excellent. Yes, it's a little dark from the glasses, but you can up the contrast to make up for it. 3D is Stunning, better then my local IMAX theater. The IMAX promo logo on Hubble 3D actually had me grad the sides of my chair thinking I could fall into the picture. Bummed it does not support the 1080p24 that DirecTv uses for it's PPV 3D.
