  • Summary: Personal Experience Excellent setup and ease of use. Picture quality is equal to or better than projectors costing thousands more! Easily adjustable to any home theatre room and has all the latest features for High def. connections. I run both Cable and Sat. HD DVI connections! I do not think there is a better value out there right now. Problems None at this time.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I have had this projector for a year. I've been thrilled with the picture. The projector was easy to install and setup. Problems After 500+ hours of bulb life the brightness of the picture has become intermittently unstable. The picture will flicker. Very annoying. It is rumored that the problem lies with the bulb. At $500 for a new bulb it is an expensive experiment to try. The projector is noisy.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I have had the Sharp XV-Z10000U installed now since March with over 500 hours logged. I did a lot of research prior to making my selection and even needed to convince my dealer/installer that the Sharp was the best projector for me. He was pushing a DWIN. I must say that to this day I could not be happier with my selection and would make the same selection again.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I have the previous model XV-Z9000. Whilst the picture is very good on the 9000, I have had and continue to have an overheating problem which makes the thing unusable. Problems I am posting this review because of the overheating problem mentioned by ganz. I have owned my 9000 for about 9 months. I have had continual overheating problems - I cannot get through one movie without it overheating and shutting down.

  • Summary: Personal Experience I went to CES with the goal of viewing as many of the new DLP2/Mustang 16:9 projectors as possible. I have to say the Sharp probably stands out as the best overall. Most of the others use Faroujda scaling, which many would think superior, but the Sharp scaling seems to be better watching some of the same clips used to demo the other projectors (the SIM2, Toshiba, InFocus, Marantz and DWIN).
