Summary: The DLP chip started to fail right after the one year warranty expired. You can tell this is happening by white dots appearing on your screen until you have the night sky on your screen. A new bulb does not fix the problem. You would think that a projector that was first retailed at just under $1000 would last longer than a year!!
Summary: I replaced my Sony xr32xl, which I loved to use as a projection tv, with this unit. Reading the caption, I assumed it to be the latest and greatest. Wrong. Also it was defective. The dealer was going to replaced it for me, until I told them I did not have the original box. Sony is going to repair it, but will not even discuss upgrading it. Moral of the story--know your product and keep the original box.
