Summary: Personal Experience I had one of these years ago and it was my first dive into front projection (obsession), was a great starter unit, got mine surplus for $100 in about 1998, I used it as my only TV for almost 4 years before the lamp finally went (I put at least 5000 hours on a used bulb that was only designed for 2000 hours).
Summary: Personal Experience I picked my unit up at a Gov. Surplus auction for $200. I am lucky in that my basement has only two windows so it was easy to black out which is perfect for this low light output projector. I just used a white sheet for my initial tests and my wife and I watched the Lion King on it the other night. It really was fun having the 5' image that really was pleasantly sharp.
Summary: Personal Experience When I first got this unit it worked fine considering it was about 10 years aol. Very old technilogy, but it had a lot of mechanical features and projected a decent picture. The thing you will notice is that with the low resolution the pixel-matrix is very noticable. However, if you're sitting about 5-8 feet back from the screen, you pretty much don't notice the pixels that much and it is an enjoyable experience.
Summary: Personal Experience great, good value. Wish I could find more information on the unit. like the manuel and so forth. But still goog for the price. it's my first foray into front projection and I'm having fun.
