Summary: Personal Experience This projector produces some of the best quality images/video I have ever seen. Also the image is adjustable and customizable with many adjustments and features like lens shift, zoom etc. The only small negative I think is lack of keystone correction feature or options. I know you don't need that with a projector that has lens shift feature, but it would have saved a lot of time if they provided that facility.
Summary: This is a fantastic home theater projector. We have had it for 2 years and use it for movies, directv and video gaming. We have a dedicated room with 1 large window which has a shade that pulls down. Opposite the window, we have a 3/4 wall with openings (shades available) in order to watch while eating or playing billiards. The picture is amazing and even with the 3/4 wall open and recessed lighting on in the adjoining room the picture is great.
Summary: Personal Experience Overall it is a very good projector. Very happy with it. Nice picture quality and detail. This is my second projector. After using it for two year now I have started to notice some imperfactions. As mnay have noticed leakage of light from the vents and colour are not as sharp. Problems Now I have noticed that occasionally, I see heat signatures being projected on the screen.
Summary: I purchased this unit and instantly it blew me away!!! You can place this projector 10' feet away from a screen or wall and get 90" minimum viewing. It goes up to 300" and doesnt lose anything. The Sharp picture details and lively colors are just some of the added bonuses. Wow a movie Theatre in your own home, or in your backyard at night with friends over. Hook it up to your favorite game system...any way you use it you will be happy with this one.
Summary: I have owned this for 1 year. I read a negative review and thought I would share my thoughts. The projector is really cool. Nothing beats an 8 foot movie screen 10 feet from your face and the HD image this thing pumps out is every bit as good as a TV, but just not as bright, as you should expect. This PJ is incredibly quiet for the image it projects. In order to find something that runs more silent you have spend at least 3 times as much money.
Summary: Personal Experience The Value for Money (1500€ on Internet) is excellent. I bought in September and works for 250h without any problem. The image depends of the source, for example Blu-Ray disks "Die-Hard 4" or "Phantom of the Opera" have very good image. The DVD "Gladiator" is another one. I'm very satisfied with this projector.
Summary: Pros: Sharp picture, somebody complain about using it on low light condition. For me, after adjust all settings, I can use it even at daytime. But I do have a high gain screen. Cons: Most time I connect it to my HTPC for DVD and movies, but sometime I can't get 4:3 or 2.35:1 ratio. No matter what I change. Maybe b/c my PC, not sure about this.
Summary: Star rating is my satisfaction with the unit, not a rating comparing it to other units...Upgraded from Sony VPL-VW10HT I purchased in 2000. Wanted 1080p instead of 720p. The Sanyo is MUCH quieter than the Sony. Colors/Brightness/Contrast/Sharpness are fine when adjusted. [$] I use it with PS3, XBox360 and Laptop all at 1080p. Lens shift does drift slightly, but imagine it will settle over time.
Summary: I use this as a screen to attach to my Mac Minihome server to play DVD's and web content. The Sanyo has a great automatic sliding door over the lenswhich helps keep out dust.[...].It is fairly sizable and heavy so it isn't really moved around easily.
Summary: Personal Experience This projector has excellent picture quality for the price. No, the picture is not perfect, but it's as good or better than anything I've seen under $5k when properly set up. Most of the complaints I have seen regarding this projector have to do with the operator not understanding how to set up the projector.
