Summary: Personal Experience This projector produces some of the best quality images/video I have ever seen. Also the image is adjustable and customizable with many adjustments and features like lens shift, zoom etc. The only small negative I think is lack of keystone correction feature or options. I know you don't need that with a projector that has lens shift feature, but it would have saved a lot of time if they provided that facility.
Summary: Personal Experience Overall it is a very good projector. Very happy with it. Nice picture quality and detail. This is my second projector. After using it for two year now I have started to notice some imperfactions. As mnay have noticed leakage of light from the vents and colour are not as sharp. Problems Now I have noticed that occasionally, I see heat signatures being projected on the screen.
Summary: Personal Experience The Value for Money (1500€ on Internet) is excellent. I bought in September and works for 250h without any problem. The image depends of the source, for example Blu-Ray disks "Die-Hard 4" or "Phantom of the Opera" have very good image. The DVD "Gladiator" is another one. I'm very satisfied with this projector.
Summary: Pros: Sharp picture, somebody complain about using it on low light condition. For me, after adjust all settings, I can use it even at daytime. But I do have a high gain screen. Cons: Most time I connect it to my HTPC for DVD and movies, but sometime I can't get 4:3 or 2.35:1 ratio. No matter what I change. Maybe b/c my PC, not sure about this.
Summary: Star rating is my satisfaction with the unit, not a rating comparing it to other units...Upgraded from Sony VPL-VW10HT I purchased in 2000. Wanted 1080p instead of 720p. The Sanyo is MUCH quieter than the Sony. Colors/Brightness/Contrast/Sharpness are fine when adjusted. [$] I use it with PS3, XBox360 and Laptop all at 1080p. Lens shift does drift slightly, but imagine it will settle over time.
Summary: I use this as a screen to attach to my Mac Minihome server to play DVD's and web content. The Sanyo has a great automatic sliding door over the lenswhich helps keep out dust.[...].It is fairly sizable and heavy so it isn't really moved around easily.
Summary: Personal Experience This projector has excellent picture quality for the price. No, the picture is not perfect, but it's as good or better than anything I've seen under $5k when properly set up. Most of the complaints I have seen regarding this projector have to do with the operator not understanding how to set up the projector.
Summary: Personal Experience The projector is excellent. It meets all my expectations of what a 1080p projector should be. In my light controlled room it presents a stunning picture for movies and video games. I would not recommend this projector for a room with a lot of ambient light. It's brightness is excellent for a dedicated theater room but not for an upstairs living room with lots of windows.
Summary: Personal Experience Just got the Z2000 as a replacement for my ailing Z2. Have only had it a week, so this is a preliminary report. Obviously, the 2000 is a quantum leap ahead compared to the Z2. Initial observations: fan is SUPER quiet, much quieter than my Z2. Z2000 is BIG dimensionally, I had to raise my ceiling mount to prevent head collision. Also, the Z2000 does not have a digital keystone adjustment, but the lense shift was enough to deal with it.
Summary: The picture quality from the Sanyo Z2000 is amazing on Blu-Ray and HDTV. It is a tremendous improvement over my previous 720p projector. You will not have "buyers remorse" with this purchase. Highly recommended!
