Summary: Personal Experience Excellent brightness and colours. We've had this projector for 3 months now. On a large, 4m x 3m screen the picture quality is hardly any different to what is seen on the LCD monitor from the PC. We can run the projector with the vertical blinds left open during the day (although angled away from the screen) which is great for the Church atmosphere.
Summary: Personal Experience Purchased 4 for church main auditorium. Great picture, easy to mount, easy to use. Reliability issues, but solid case construction. However manufacturing reliability seems flawed (read problems) Problems All 4 have been in for service (within 7 months of purchase), 2 had bad filter gears, and filters jammed. 2 others constantly overheat and shut down often. Goes into abnormal condition warning and shuts itself down at random intervals.
Summary: Personal Experience I recommended this projector to replace a current aging projector in an auditorium setting at the University I work at. The price was very reasonable since it was nearing the end of it's production run. We paid just under $5K for the projector without the lens. The lens was $1.8K but was necessary for the facility we installed it in. Our projected distance is just under 50 ft. to the screen which is 22 ft. wide.
Cons: Not very good when using on the road, poor when transporting even when in a flight case made for them, problems with the filter moving and not switching on after transporting.(I have 2 of these projectors).
