Excerpt: Panasonic PT-AX200U LCD Projector is a pretty good value and it will work for most places, and sources. Now of course there are ones out there that will be better, but none that I can think f that falls into this price range.
Summary: Personal Experience I have had my projector for four years and have been completely delighted with the performacne of this projector. I had a friend who has a 1080p television come over and look at the iomage being produced from my projector and he thought it was a 1080p image! The features in the menu are so exhaustive that I cannot think of any feature that was missed. This is a video gamer's dream. Video games are amazing!
Summary: I have had my projector for four years now and have never had a single problem. The contrast, brightness and color have always been amazing. In fact when friends come over they think I have a 1080P projector! That is just how good this projector is. I use it at least two to three hours a day.
Summary: Purchased this projector May, 2010. We have had no problems at all and the picture is still phenomenal. The colors are amazing and the pictures clean and sharp. Lettering is less beautiful because of the picture smoothing that it does, so if you often need something for reading - like in a boardroom setting or school room, you might not be as thrilled about it. This projector is all about the picture quality and not about the lettering.
Summary: Personal Experience I have had this projector for 3 years now, and it is by far the best I have owned. I started with the Optima 719 an ended up here..and I can't see a need for a new one until 4k comes around. Black could be a wee bit better, but it is crystal clear with 1080p at 120" throw. Solid, valued, and yet to let me down.
Great product! top of the line picture quality and size.

Summary: I had the idea of getting a projector instead of a TV because of the screen size, picture quality, and affordable price.. I was never more right! :-) This projector is one of the best, very decent size screen at short distances, and amazing picture quality.
Summary: Personal Experience I have had this projector for about 3 years now and have been very pleased with it. This projector has a great quality image with no screen door visible at normal viewing distances, and the physical lens-shift gives great flexibility to placement (I have mine sat on a high shelf behind the viewers). It also has a good range of screen sizes set by it's adjustable lens. I have mine set to 110" over about 6-7 yards.
Summary: Such a shame. This projector throws a beautiful, jaw-dropping image, despite its 720p specs. No screen door, no pixels even a few feet away, and plenty bright in my living room. I was in love. That is, until my unit started to develop the same "flicker" problem that so many others have complained about. Figured it was just because my bulb was getting to the end of its lifecycle.
I see no use in buying a 1080 projector with this unit available.

Summary: This is my 2nd pt-ax200u, and i had a plan for it but my buddy heard the deal i got so i sold it to him. He had a diff. projector at the time but always like mine so i sold it to him. I use mine outside in the summer on a 12ftx16ft homemade screen and have to downsize it to fit with a throwing distance of 30ft. I would recommend this projector to anybody. very good picture!
Very poor customer service and short life - DO NOT BUY

Summary: I bought this projector about 4 years ago. So long as it lasted, it worked well. The bulb life had only about 800 hours on it and about 1 month ago, it started arbitrarily turning off and won't turn on. I called Panasonic service to find out if they have any solution or any authorized service centers and they insist I must ship the projector to their Kansas repair center. They will NOT give any estimates without it.
