Features
The Panasonic PT-AX200U has a brightness of 2000 ANSI lumens. Its contrast ratio is at 6000 is to 1. The projector has a variable iris to control the brightness and contrast of the image. It is compatible with HDTV, SDTV, EDTV, Component, Video Component, HDMI and computers. It has a native resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels for its display, which is also its maximum resolution. It uses standard lens that manually focus and zoom at a ratio of 2:1. The projector has a throw distance of 2.4 meters to 6.2 meters, with an image size of at least 101.6 cm to 508 cm. It uses a lamp of UHM type that gives off 220 watts. The dimensions of the projector is measured at 11.2 cm high, 39.4 cm wide, and 30.0 cm deep, with a weight of 4.9 kilograms.

It looks fine out of the box, but I think all consumers should get some sort of calibration kit - such as from Datacolor or GretagMacbeth - to get the best possible performance. The Epson Home Cinema 720 is a killer projector. It gives solid performance in all areas with extra emphasis on rock-solid contrast and black levels. With the exception of limited connectivity, it has no major flaws. Meanwhile, the picture quality is outstanding for the money. The Cinema 720 is an exceptional value at $1299, and it was an easy decision to give it not only very high ratings in the 5-star categories, but our Editor's Choice Award as well. Read more

Uhhh..wow...pretty much all i can say. I bought this unit then hooked it up to my PS3 for Blu-ray movies. I'm completely blown away. I was an early adopter of projectors and replaced an old SVGA projector i payed 3 times as much for 7 years ago. All i can say is wow...the picture quality you get for this amount of money is absurd.
