Panasonic PT-AT5000E review

expertreviews.co.uk
15 December 2011
  • Excerpt: Panasonic’s previous high-end home cinema projector, the PT-AE4000E, won an Ultimate award in our last projector group test, so we were eager to see how well the latest model would stack up against the competition, especially with the addition of 3D support. Like every previous model in this range, the PT-AT5000E is something of a behemoth – it won’t fit on a standard bookshelf.

Panasonic PT-AT5000 review

Home Cinema Choice
15 November 2011
  • Excerpt: From the moment I first saw Panasonic’s new PT-AT5000 3D projector running alongside its AE4000 predecessor at a swanky launch event in Los Angeles, I knew it was going to be something special. Though not necessarily because of its headlining 3D talents. For during this demo it seemed that the technological advances demanded to deliver convincing 3D pictures (see page 54) had led to Panasonic delivering a quantum leap in its 2D performance, too.
  • Pros: Good 3D pictures; quiet running; loads of set-up features
  • Cons: Some crosstalk; fiddly optical image shift system; big drop off in brightness moving to 3D

Panasonic PT-AT5000E
