Excerpt: I have done my research on this projector since it first came out and hope one day to own it , i finally got it and loved it , i read about many projectors in it's class and also see them and this is the best, sound and vision had a review on it and gave some calibration information that is very useful and now the picture look even bettet
Summary: I use this in a room that is not entirely dark even when shades are down. Still the picture quality is bright and contrast is excellent. I got a different projector first and returned it because of the fan noise. With this one I am sitting 5 feet below the projector and it is very quiet. The range in throw distance allowed me to have the projector precisely where I wanted when compared to some others I researched. Overall very happy with this purchase.
Summary: If your in the market to buy a 3D projector your probably like me spending a lot of time looking at comparisons on utube and reading many reviews. The way I see it is most projectors in this price range have pretty much the same picture quality and once you have tweaked everything to your satisfaction and your immersed in a movie you forget all about those specifications you spent so much time trying to figure out.
Summary: My 2nd projector. Upgraded from 9 year old 720p projector. The Panasonic PTAE-8000u is several steps up in terms of picture quality, set up and input options. This projector is as close to plug and play as I've seen. Lens shift capability is a must for most home theater set ups. The Panasonic lens shift worked smoothly and allowed me to set the image exactly where I wanted it. The 3D picture is amazing. My friends couldn't get over how awesome it looked.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Remote, Great 3d, Right Number Of Inputs, Right Of Inputs
Summary: I use this projector for my primary evening viewing of HD TV and bluray DVDs, projecting a ~10-foot image from 15 ft. It was really easy to setup and the image is great. I only needed to make a few adjustments to the initial image since it was bright and ensure consistency with the DVD player and A/V receiver. When transitioning between HD and non-HD images, it makes a fan noise/shutting down noise of which I am not accustomed.
