Summary: Personal Experience In addition to being economical, versatile, the projector ensures a good display quality while being silent. It is therefore appropriate for both home use and for professional use i think . The display is very nice to me Problems The connectifs are sometimes problematic(laggy), and i sometimes hear noises coming out of the projector.
Summary: Personal Experience I think have been using this projector for 4.5 years & it is finally forcing me to get another bulb at 2,930 hours (It turns off after a few minutes of use) I've gone through periods of blue streaks around 2,500 hrs., but other than that have been problem free. Well worth it for the time I had it - a 60" LCD was $9k - but now a large LCD might be the way to go, but very happy with my overall experience & happy bulbs have come down a bit & hope a...
Summary: Personal Experience I purchased my AE700 5.5 years ago and I am still running fine with the original lamp, now at 3200 hours. The picture quality still amazes me particularly with Blu Ray discs. No pixel visibility at any distance. Altogether I have been delighted with this projector. Even if it fails tomorrow I feel that Panasonic have more than given me my money's worth, and my next projector will definately be a Panny.
Summary: Personal Experience This has been a great product for the home. I've had it mounted for 3 years and I'm still running the same bulb. I've run it mostly in econo mode and I have over 3000 hours on it...i'm looking to replace it for safety reasons but it has not let me down yet. I have it located in a fairly bright main floor dining room (for dinner and movie nights) and the ambient light at times is troubling but when turned up to full brightness, it works aok.
Summary: Personal Experience I purchased this projector new some years ago, and have found it to be superb in nearly every aspect. I can only find fault with the projector in this way: words/lettering on the screen during movies or tv shows appears shadowed or "ghosty". I have attempted to remove the effect, to no avail.
Summary: Personal Experience I've been very happy with this projector. I've always run it on low power and have cleaned the filter with a vacuum cleaner regularly. The bulb blew last night after 1360 hours and 2.5 years. Have just ordered a $475 bulb. Problems The bulb blew after 1360 hours.
Summary: Personal Experience 1,313 hours / 914 days 6/30/05-12/31/07 on the original UHP lamp in my PT-AE700U. Found OEM ET-LAE700 for $240 thru an eBay vendor = $0.18/hour cost. Lets see how long lamp #2 lasts - PT-AE700U manual sez 3000 hrs w/ lamp on HIGH - Ya, Right, OK - NOT... Problems Stated: 3,000 hours w/ lamp on HIGH, fan on HIGH Actual: 1,313 hours w/ lamp on LOW, fan on HIGH 2-3 quick off-on-off cycles on the original ET-LAE700 before I realized how very BAD that is...
Summary: Personal Experience I have now had my Panasonic AE700 for 3 years and it is still performing flawlessly. The bulb is now pushing the 2000 hour mark and has dimmed slightly. At 18 months there was a power supply problem, which was very promptly fixed by Panasonic under the extended warranty.
Summary: Personal Experience After spending 18 months with this projector, I am very well satisfied. I have over 1760 hours on the bulb, always on high, projecting an HD signal on a 120" diagonal screen and am getting an excellent picture still. It is quiet, simple to operate and so far very reliable. I have, however. noticed a little burn in where ESPN always puts there scoreboard banner in the same place. Although with all the football I watch, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
