Summary: Personal Experience In addition to being economical, versatile, the projector ensures a good display quality while being silent. It is therefore appropriate for both home use and for professional use i think . The display is very nice to me Problems The connectifs are sometimes problematic(laggy), and i sometimes hear noises coming out of the projector.
Summary: Personal Experience The native WXGA RESOLUTION is ok for using it with a wide screen computer. The contrast ratio and brightness ensure crisp, clear presentations: automatic fonctionnalits as they allow quick setup.
Summary: Personal Experience I think have been using this projector for 4.5 years & it is finally forcing me to get another bulb at 2,930 hours (It turns off after a few minutes of use) I've gone through periods of blue streaks around 2,500 hrs., but other than that have been problem free. Well worth it for the time I had it - a 60" LCD was $9k - but now a large LCD might be the way to go, but very happy with my overall experience & happy bulbs have come down a bit & hope a...
Summary: I bought this to replace my existing PT-AE700U projector. I didn't want to upgrade because I already have a couple of unused bulbs. This projector is fantastic! I am using it with a 106" screen. There is very little motion blur (usually only noticed with large sweeping spots) works great with video games and the picture it produces with HD Directv is better than 1080p on Comcast. New projectors have higher lumens but my theater is blacked out so it is a non issue.
Summary: Personal Experience What a piece of junk. Had it for 3 years and now there is a blue streak on the rights side of the screen. Google search shows it's the optical block gone bad and this appears to be quite common with this projector. Most people that don't have the extended warranty end up junking the projector rather than repairing due to cost of the repair.
Summary: Personal Experience I purchased my AE700 5.5 years ago and I am still running fine with the original lamp, now at 3200 hours. The picture quality still amazes me particularly with Blu Ray discs. No pixel visibility at any distance. Altogether I have been delighted with this projector. Even if it fails tomorrow I feel that Panasonic have more than given me my money's worth, and my next projector will definately be a Panny.
Summary: I purchased the PT-AE700U in early 2005, and have been impressed by everything about it, other than bulb life. This one is on its third bulb--all used at low power and high fan settings. It is very enjoyable and satisfying to watch on a 12'/4' painted wall "screen". Everyone who has viewed it has been delighted with the HD picture, despite the fact that Blu-Ray is able to display more resolution than the native 720p of this model.
Summary: Personal Experience This has been a great product for the home. I've had it mounted for 3 years and I'm still running the same bulb. I've run it mostly in econo mode and I have over 3000 hours on it...i'm looking to replace it for safety reasons but it has not let me down yet. I have it located in a fairly bright main floor dining room (for dinner and movie nights) and the ambient light at times is troubling but when turned up to full brightness, it works aok.
