Great Picture, very bright

  • Excerpt: Even in daylight situations this Panasonic projector projects a clear and crisp image on the screen. The brightness is markedly better than Epson projector it's replacing. The noise level is the same as my Epson EX7200 at 29Db, but not noticeable while watching TV.

  • Summary: Personal Experience A friend of mine put a $3500 Epson projector on a 120" screen in his man cave, that I thought was amazing. Way way better than the projectors of a few years ago. So when my flat panel lcd died I took the leap.

The fine features of the projector need no restatement

jetgraphics, Amazon

  • Summary: The fine features of the projector need no restatement. However, there is one “bug” in the works. The [Menu/Option/Lamp Runtime] issued a “change lamp” message at 2000 hours. We dutifully swapped the lamp, only to realize that the original had not failed.

  • Summary: Personal Experience Purchased as a replacement for a 3 yr old Panasonic PT-AE4000U, as my new living room has floor to ceiling windows down one side. The PT-AR100U is a fantastic trade up, opting for much more brightness over the 4000U's frame interpolation system.

super bright projector

  • Excerpt: This is super bright. It shows well in our great room even with nearby lights on. The lens shift is a great feature at this price, but would be better if it shifted more. It is a little loud and kicks off a lot of heat to the front; hanging at the back of the room is best.

Quality Picture and easy to set up

  • Excerpt: This product has a great picture. We have it projecting on wall with a roughly 4 by nine foot image and it looks great. Worth the value when comparing to flat screen product of similar price. Projector can warm a little so allow for additional heat in room.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up

PT-AR100U Review

Lawrence A. Kalina Jr., Amazon
12 April 2012
  • Summary: I have been looking at home theater projectors for over ten years. In that time I have looked at everything from Sharpvision to Barco to Epson and Sony. Each time I would visit a home theater showroom and view a projector's image in a controlled light environment, I would decide that the image...
