Excerpt: Even in daylight situations this Panasonic projector projects a clear and crisp image on the screen. The brightness is markedly better than Epson projector it's replacing. The noise level is the same as my Epson EX7200 at 29Db, but not noticeable while watching TV. The thing I find most helpful about the Panasonic is the lens shift. The menu selections are easy to navigate. This is pretty much a plug-and-play projector.
Summary: Personal Experience A friend of mine put a $3500 Epson projector on a 120" screen in his man cave, that I thought was amazing. Way way better than the projectors of a few years ago. So when my flat panel lcd died I took the leap. I decided on this Panasonic due to it being in my living room with lots of ambient light I liked the 2800 lumens. I have it on a 110" grey screen and it works great with the ambient light. When the sun goes down it's obviously much better.
The fine features of the projector need no restatement

Summary: The fine features of the projector need no restatement. However, there is one “bug” in the works. The [Menu/Option/Lamp Runtime] issued a “change lamp” message at 2000 hours. We dutifully swapped the lamp, only to realize that the original had not failed. After resetting the counter, multiple times, we eventually had 5000+ hours of lamptime on the replacement. Recently, we re-installed the original lamp, and it is running fine.
Summary: Personal Experience Purchased as a replacement for a 3 yr old Panasonic PT-AE4000U, as my new living room has floor to ceiling windows down one side. The PT-AR100U is a fantastic trade up, opting for much more brightness over the 4000U's frame interpolation system. Image is not perfect for fast paced sports, but improved brightness is a worthy trade off. I am very pleased with this projector.
Excerpt: This is super bright. It shows well in our great room even with nearby lights on. The lens shift is a great feature at this price, but would be better if it shifted more. It is a little loud and kicks off a lot of heat to the front; hanging at the back of the room is best. I haven't hung mine yet; it appeards to need a special hanger.
Summary: I want to wait on 3D so this purchase was a stop gap... I was concerned that a budget LCD projector would not project as sharp an image as my previous DLP and tube based projectors but the Panasonic AR100-U is terrific. My screen is 150" diagonal and the 1080p image is vivid, bright, and very focussed edge to edge. Very happy with the performance/price!
Summary: Replaced a 5 year old Epson - This is 3 times the machine for 1/2 the price. Brightness on Eco setting is fantastic in my space which has fairly bright ambient light and when the room is dark it's fine. It does not have great blacks, but otherwise it looks great. For my set up (96" grey screen and 15' foot throw) I needed to choose a preset that shrunk the visible size down to a size the zoom could fit one the screen. It works great for us.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Remote, Interfaces Well With TV, Intuitive Controls
Excerpt: I use this product to photograph slide shows. It works perfectly for that purpose. That's the solution I was looking for a long time, for an affordable price. Now I can share my picture with relatives, comfortably installed in the sofa. All you need is a big white wall. You set up the projector 3 to 4 meters from the wall and you get an amazing projection size. What I like overall it is the stunning effect of a wide size projection.
