Excerpt: This is super bright. It shows well in our great room even with nearby lights on. The lens shift is a great feature at this price, but would be better if it shifted more. It is a little loud and kicks off a lot of heat to the front; hanging at the back of the room is best. I haven't hung mine yet; it appeards to need a special hanger.
Summary: I want to wait on 3D so this purchase was a stop gap... I was concerned that a budget LCD projector would not project as sharp an image as my previous DLP and tube based projectors but the Panasonic AR100-U is terrific. My screen is 150" diagonal and the 1080p image is vivid, bright, and very focussed edge to edge. Very happy with the performance/price!
Summary: Replaced a 5 year old Epson - This is 3 times the machine for 1/2 the price. Brightness on Eco setting is fantastic in my space which has fairly bright ambient light and when the room is dark it's fine. It does not have great blacks, but otherwise it looks great. For my set up (96" grey screen and 15' foot throw) I needed to choose a preset that shrunk the visible size down to a size the zoom could fit one the screen. It works great for us.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Remote, Interfaces Well With TV, Intuitive Controls
Excerpt: I use this product to photograph slide shows. It works perfectly for that purpose. That's the solution I was looking for a long time, for an affordable price. Now I can share my picture with relatives, comfortably installed in the sofa. All you need is a big white wall. You set up the projector 3 to 4 meters from the wall and you get an amazing projection size. What I like overall it is the stunning effect of a wide size projection.
Excerpt: This product has a great picture. We have it projecting on wall with a roughly 4 by nine foot image and it looks great. Worth the value when comparing to flat screen product of similar price. Projector can warm a little so allow for additional heat in room.
Summary: I have been looking at home theater projectors for over ten years. In that time I have looked at everything from Sharpvision to Barco to Epson and Sony. Each time I would visit a home theater showroom and view a projector's image in a controlled light environment, I would decide that the image quality and brightness were not quite impressive enough. I was just could not bring myself to spend thousands for something that was a bit dissapointing.
Excerpt: This if my first home projector. I debated for a long time between this one and few other 1080 Projs. i've considered 4 projectors Optoma HD33,Epson 8350,3010 & Panny Ar100u The price difference was just $300 but panny won the race coz its going to be on my living room.
Pros: Brightness, Easy To Set Up, Good price value
