Don't Buy. Trust me and read the other support review as well.

Summary: Second and last Panasonic projector. Set aside the fact that replacement lamps are very expensive this projector started to shut down shortly after startup. Paid to ship to a repair facility who informed me that the lamp, optics, board, and power supply needed to be replaced. This unit was less than 18 months old and still on the first lamp. So what was left that did not have to be replaced? The plastic shell?
Summary: I bought this projector as an upgrade to the Panasonic PT 1000U, which was more than 6 years old. The difference in lamp power was noticed as soon as it was turned on. Bright enough to watch in the daytime, like a regular TV set, which the older model definitely was not. Visual Apex also delivered it two days earlier than scheduled. Highly recommended.
Pros: Energy Efficient, Good Remote, Low Fan Sound On Eco Mode, Very Bright Image
Summary: Personal Experience 5 months into ownership. Developed a discolored area at the top of the screen. Under warranty. Back ordered part needed (polarizer) No eta from warranty repair station. Part needs to come from Japan. No eta on when it will leave Japan. Just sitting here in limbo. Not at all happy. Problems 5 months into ownership. Developed a discolored area at the top of the screen. Under warranty.
High ambient light viewing when combined with a DNP screen
13 May 2013
Summary: This is my first home theater projector, so I am not sure how this compares with others. The important feature for us is the bright 2800 lumen lamp -- we're able to watch shows with the room lights on! The combination of this bright projector and special optical projection screen -- the 118" DNP Supernova Flex Classic -- makes this high ambient light viewing possible. The colors are accurate and vibrant, and the blacks nice and deep and dark.
Summary: Personal Experience Purchased as a replacement for a 3 yr old Panasonic PT-AE4000U, as my new living room has floor to ceiling windows down one side. The PT-AR100U is a fantastic trade up, opting for much more brightness over the 4000U's frame interpolation system. Image is not perfect for fast paced sports, but improved brightness is a worthy trade off. I am very pleased with this projector.
Summary: I am not an audio video junky, so I will be straight forward. The projector arrived in less than 2 days after ordering it, I plugged it in and it shows a clearer than believable picture (menu screen). I am installing a home theater, did a little research, and in this price range seems to be the best projector available. It has a good contrast ratio, has the feature of "lens shift" and should do everything I want from a projector.
Summary: Since I am "technically challenged", my son came 1000 miles to set this up. We have had a projector TV for the past 10 years and loved it. It is amazing how much better the picture quality is on this new projector and the HD quality is terrific. The colors really pop, and even in the daytime we get a good picture. With the old unit we were limited to night time viewing. WE love this projector and highly recommend it.
Summary: I am projecting on a wall from 23 feet which is the max distance it can project from it covers the wall well and the horizontal shift is good. I would have preferred a sharper focus. I chose this over the Hitachi DLPI model as it seemed simple and rugged the LCD colors can feel bland and soft on focus. The wall is new white paint. I am not sure that there is a big diff with screen did try it on a smaller scale. It is simple to use and sturdy .
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Good Remote, Intuitive Controls, Simple Sturdy Basic Cover
Summary: This was bought to replace a BenQ W6000 projector that broke down twice in 18 months. I compared this projector to the Epson 5010 at $2500 and Optima projectors. I read all the online reviews and finally settled on this projector, and I made the right decision. This projector is very bright, and that is needed for a large family room with lots of ambient light. While I wish the black levels were a tad better, but that is the payoff for such a bright picture.
Summary: Personal Experience I have been using this model for the past 6 months now. Simply a master piece for its price. I recommend this to everyone, it's simple to use and the picture quality is truly majestic. Make sure you buy a good home player with atleast 1000W of sound. Thank u Panasonic. Problems None.
