Summary: We have been using this projector at our church for the past couple of months. It has worked flawlessly. I projects a bright image. The controls are almost foolproof although some find it possible to get confused. The projector has a good deal of intelligence, frequently more than the operator, in selecting the input that is connected. The remote is well designed and works well. Good projector.
Summary: Great value for money. I have been using it for almost two months and it still works well. Much better than the Infocus projector I bought from Amazon which suffered from a lot of dead pixels.
Summary: I searched through the reviews on Amazon for a projector and even had to research the difference between SVGA and WXGA. This projector was relatively inexpensive and had great reviews and so well deserved. I hooked it up last night to my computer and the image was fantastic. This comes with a carrying case, remote controller, and short VGA cable as well. LOVE IT!
Summary: I am not a first time projector owner. My last projector was also an Optoma. I bought my last one to use it specifically as a Big Screen TV for the Man Cave. And like this projector it was classed as a 1080p compatible. I loved my last one and it lasted for about 7 years before dumping on itself. And only replaced 3 bulbs in that 7 years using it as a primary source of viewing and video games. This projector I picked for this same purpose.
Summary: We currently use this projector to watch movies and sporting events on our patio. Everyone is amazed at the quality of the picture at both close and far range. I would highly recommend it as an alternative to a more expensive flat screen. It comes with a nice carrying case, so we can store it when not in use.
Summary: Granted, my LCD HDTV is about 6 years old, now. My laptop, however, is a Qosmio that has a fantastic display and is only about four months old, and this projector outshines my laptop. Nice blacks, good whites, great colors, vibrant images. In terms of good HDTVs (of Samsung/Sony quality), I would say the image is better than an LCD 5 years ago but a little less flawless than an LCD 2 years ago.
Summary: i dont know what else you would need - true 1080p, stereo out and easy to store, multi function remote. and ready for a 3d upgrade. I used this to play a blu ray of cars 2 on a 12ft outdoor screen for my sons bday. cant belive had great the pic was- just like watching it on the 60" led sanyo we got for xmas. you cant lose on this, buy it!!!
Pros: plug and play super pic
Cons: delay in powering off creates some confusion
