Summary: It's great, so small and easy to use. The only disadvantage is that you need a dark room in order to see what you project properly. The rest, is great. Pity it doesn't support certain types of files, but it's no surprise since it's explicited in the prospect.
Summary: Got hot during use. Sometimes cut off during use. Sometimes malfunctioned image projection during use. Was still good enough to have until it just quit working. Image quality and sharpness were surprisingly good. Shortly before return-period would have expired, it died and I returned it. Had trouble getting refunded. Hassle. If it didn't screw up, I'd recommend it highly. The customer support was as good as the product.
Summary: I was a fan of Optoma and I still have 2 regular size projectors working very well. My problem was the Pico, after less than one year of litlle use, suddenly, got white dots invading the image. In a few months it was impossible to use it. Looking for information I saw it happens very often and there is no solution. The price to fix is the same of a new one. I don`t intend to buy Optoma anymore...
Very limited life span, black spots, no usable picture
15 December 2013
Summary: After it died I researched more details and found that the DLP engine is prone to failure. I looked into replacing it, it is possible but $80-100 to do so. Black spots start to appear with use and finally the picture is so degrade it is not usable. Very disappointed, I do not recommend.
