Summary: Do not buy this projector!!! Had one at my house, only lasted about a year. There are problems with the temperature controller chip, causes the projector to turn off quickly after it warms up. Even if you send it in for repairs, which Optoma will not cover, it will still fail!

Summary: I think this projector is great. it is my second projector and is used down stairs in our theater room. you can see the immage with the lights on but of coarse are awesome with the lights off.
Summary: I have owned the HD72 for over 2 years now. It gets used on a weekly basis and it's still going strong. As many other reviews point out, the lumen output on this one is not as great as some other projectors. However, the blacks look great and colors are vivid, so I have no complaints.
